"A great place to stay."

High standard of cleanliness throughout. Superb breakfast. Hosts were brilliant - could not have been more helpful and definitely went the extra mile to make our stay very enjoyable. Highly recommend this accommodation.

Early departure so didn’t experience fullly. However, appreciated home made cookies, coffee and tea facilities.

Somewhere for an evening meal within walking distance would have been great. Not the fault of Sam & Jo. Less than wonderful meal in Stranraer despite pleasant service.

"Absolutely perfect and great value"

Warm welcome from Jo. Really comfortable and well appointed room. The home made cookies were a lovely touch as was the offer of wine glasses as there was nowhere in the village to go for a drink and we took our own. Breakfast was absolutely delicious and tailored to what we wanted. Jo could not do enough to make our stay memorable. Highly recommend!

"Great place to pitstop."

We were basically looking for somewhere to spend the night before catching the ferry in the morning. The directions were clear, communication was quick and straightforward. We used self check in, found our room, and all was well. The room was well appointed, with everything we needed plus bonus homemade cookies. Comfortable bed, lovely bathroom. Sam texted just to make sure we’d arrived and everything was fine. We snuck off again in the morning. We didn’t have time to sample the amazing breakfasts that are talked about in other reviews - but that’s our loss. Thanks for letting us stay.

"Exceptional"

The owner was lovely and seemed to be running it by herself. Very homely with freshly made cookies in the room and the smell of freshly made bread wafting up in the stairs in the early evening ready for the following mornings breakfast. Yum!

"Cosy and heartwarming stay near the ocean"

I had the pleasure to stay here for one night. It was lovely and I’d definitely come again myself or recommend it to anyone travelling here! Great host, super helpful and supportive - especially on late arrival. Very cute and welcoming house! There’s a path on a nice walkable path to the ocean if you are up for it - might wanna bring a lamp of its late tho. All in all a great experience and worth the extra mile of travel ☺️✨
