Everything, it was peaceful and quiet

We had a wonderful stay at The Hayloft in Outhgill. The location is ideal – tucked away in a peaceful setting yet close enough to explore the surrounding area. The views from the property are absolutely stunning, offering a real sense of calm and relaxation. The owner kindly welcomed us with a delicious homemade lemon drizzle cake on arrival. During our visit, we enjoyed a trip to Kirkby Stephen, a charming town with plenty to see and do, and we also walked to the Eden Viaduct, which was a highlight of the stay. The accommodation itself is cosy, comfortable, and the perfect base for unwinding after a day of exploring. Overall, The Hayloft is a peaceful and relaxing retreat in beautiful surroundings – we would happily return.

The cottage was excellent and had everything you could want . The surrounding area was beautiful, peaceful, and relaxing . Poetry without word's .

Not being able to stay longer!

Our recent stay at Elysian Fields ( ING Lodge) was absolutely fantastic. The facilities were amazing with fully equipped kitchen with necessary utensils to cook. We purchased all our food shopping in advance as we knew there was no local shop nearby. The bathroom had modern double shower suitable for preference of guests. The overall welcome and ambience of accommodation was simply perfect & tranquility of the quiet surroundings was breathtaking and definitely therapy for one's soul. For guests wanting complete relaxation I can highly recommend this location. There is scenic walking routes nearby....walking boots are an advisory as hills are rocky/ steep. This location is a definite on our return list 10/10
