"Wonderfully relaxing."

The Hay Loft was very well equipped with absolutely everything we needed for our stay. The welcome Lemon drizzle cake was delicious. The library of maps and guide books was gratefully utilised. The location was perfect for various hikes and the surrounding villages had shops/pubs for meals. The front door of the Hay Loft was perfect for watching the birds and red squirrels in the garden; as well as the sunset.

There was nothing we did not like about our stay.

"Great location, lovely apartment - will be 5 star if the bathroom fan is sorted."

Great location, very quiet area, nice apartment and we saw a red squirrel! Also appreciated that there were instructions in the kitchen for how to use the hob.

The info about the flat said that the fan in the bathroom would run for up to 10 minutes after the light was turned off. In fact it ran for between 25-30 minutes, which wasn't such a bother in the daytime, but was really intrusive at bedtime, especially since the environment itself was so quiet. We spoke to the friendly owners about this and they said they would try to adjust it. A practical issue to mention was that the wifi in our flat didn't work. It showed the network but had no service when you connected to it. We were able to connect to the wifi of one of the other apartments so it wasn't a problem.

The setting was beautiful. The apartment was spacious. The kitchen and bathroom were modern and well fitted. A cake gift was a lovely gesture.

No tea bags or coffee sachets for use on arrival.The lounge furniture was not so comfortable.

"Idyllic and peaceful place"

Wonderful setting, spacious, clean and well equipped. Dedicated walking area for our lurcher and the home made chocolate chip brownies were a delightful surprise.

The weather was poor and we couldn't enjoy the wonderful views until our last morning.

Very clean and well equipped. Beautiful, peaceful location perfect for a quiet getaway. Stayed in the Wagonette, plenty of space, very comfortable bed, kitchen had everything you could need and had chocolate brownies on arrival. Will definitely be coming back again.

Quiet & clean.

The bed was really too soft for us but that’s a personal preference. Couldn’t really dislike anything about the property.
