Great location and everything we needed in our one bedroom flat.

Fabulous accommodation!! It was very spacious and had everything you need! Newly refurbished and modern. It was warm and cosy during a cold snap of Orkney weather. Big comfy bed, lovely big bathroom and walk-in shower. Peaceful location with wonderful views from the windows. Close to the Ring of Brodgar, Stones of Stenness, Maeshowe and Birsay. It's a great base to explore the island from. Rob the host is super friendly and helpful and he very kindly let me check-in early, which I was very grateful for as it was such a rainy day! Highly recommended!

A grater in the kitchen would be useful! 😉

Location is brilliant even if you need a car to get there. We had everything what we needed in the studio. Very good wifi

This property had everything we wanted and more. Heating, shower, bed - everything was comfortable and easy to use. Rob was very friendly and helpful and went out of his way to ensure we had everything we needed and knew where we were going. An added bonus was that Rob is a guide at Maes Howe and so had extra knowledge about the prehistoric sites we were interested in. Last but by now means least, Runa Guest House was incredible value for money! We can’t recommend this place highly enough.

Fantastic place to stay. Rob was very friendly and walked us round the properly so we knew how to do things like turn on the hot water for the shower. Very well equipped with all kitchen equipment you would expect. Access to a washing machine (bonus, although we didn't need to use it). Easy to find (although be aware that the council have removed some of the road signs with the name of the village on them!!), easy parking. 4 pints of milk in the fridge, and a great assortment of tea, hot chocolate, coffee, and instant latte sachets. Great "away from it all" location, although it's some distance from Kirkwall so you'll need access to a car. It is now a large studio flat, with a part-wall between the bedroom area and living/kitchen area, although this didn't really bother us. Stunning views and huge open skies, we enjoyed watching what was going on - from playful hares, to the sunrise. It is also in a fantastic dark-sky area, so great for star gazing if it's a clear night - and we were lucky to see the aurora several nights of our trip. If this is of interest, there are two attic windows in the large studio that look north so you can check the cloud cover, and even get pretty good photos without going outside when the garage light is off!

I can't think of much but as Booking.com wants me to write something, I would suggest more information on how to use the TV, as TVs are all different and we found it easier to just use the iPad.
