Sergeants Accommodation

A fantastic stay at Sergeants accommodation, room was great clean and had all the facilities you could ask for.A great break in Wales with first class accommodation.Thank You James and Chris.

very friendly and helpful

lovely village which had everything we wanted, people all friendly, proprietors very helpful. everything ie shops pubs etc all within extremely easy reach, and area is very safe. Railway Inn is good quality food, Lord Nelson is very good pub. Busses are quite good in Nelson, and it would be a very good idea for Sergeants Accommodation to ,provide timetables in the rooms, but be mindful, NO BUSSES ON A SUNDAY.

though it is not the owners fault but transport can be a major problem, we arrived Saturday for Bruce Springsteen concert in Cardiff on Sunday. The owners Christine & Jimmy did provide us with several local cab numbers with advice to book day before if possible. There are 2 nearby stations Ystrad Mynach and Abercine that both serve Cardiff Central, 30 mins away, we constantly tried for a cab on Saturday, left voicemails but none got back to us. On Google we found 2 that would help us, Streetcars 07920844908, who dropped his shopping trip to get us to Ystrad Station so we could get into Cardiff, and offered to pick us from there at 11.40pm if we got stuck. RH Taxis, were also brilliant and picked us up from Ystrad Mynach station at 11.45pm. highly recommend both cabs, no fuss, no dramas, no rip off.

The steps up to the room were not the easiest to negotiate, maybe this could be mentioned when booking . Overall enjoyed the stay and if we are ever in the area again would be happy to use the accommodation

Very quiet area, close to many shops. Room was a good size, comfortable bed. Kettle, mircowave and toast all in room. Selection of teas, coffee and chocolate. As well as sugar sweetner and milk. Shower and lots of towels.
