Host Family

Very friendly greeting, clean room with private bathroom. We had a car so off street parking was appreciated.

The mattress was very poor quality - I could feel each wire/spring with every movement.

Our stay with the Host Family was nice. The family is very hospitable and friendly. The house is close to the bus station and the castle. The food was delicious. We went to a trip to vardzia with George, which was nice. WiFi was good.

If you are a tall person, the bed ist too small (typical georgian bed). Also the bathroom is not good ventilated.

location was great, a few mins walk to main road in town, the castle, bus station, convenience stores etc. you are in a family's home, so expect kids running around inside and outside the house. very clean, and great shower pressure. nice areas to sit in the backyard and front of house bench for people watching.

the room at the front of the house can be loud at times with revving cars and/or the neighbor across the road who operates and metal manufacturing business from the sidewalk (complete with welding and grinding of metal). felt a little pressured to purchase a tour to Vardzia and supra meal from the family. after responding no several times stopped getting asked. kitchen is shared with the family, so wouldn't expect full kitchen access during meal times. fridge also full with a whole families food. seperate shared kitchen for guests would be great. bathroom had that smell of a missing p-trap in one of the drains.

Brilliant room, clean and tidy, excellent food offered as extras. Made to feel welcome.

Usually I don't write reviews. In this case I make an exception, because this place and it's owner are extraordinary. Nicely located, quiet and very clean. Nato, the woman who runs the business, is a warm hearted person and an outstanding cook. Don't miss to get dinner there (and breakfast, too).
