Excellent location. Clean and comfortable room and a nice hot shower. Very helpful and friendly staff.

The location was convenient and the staff who greeted us was friendly. If arriving on a Saturday evening, plenty of free parking spaces around.

Perhaps we had a higher expectation regarding the price for 1 night, as there're defo a few bits to improve that could help matching the 9.2 score from 2020 on their door. To name a few: The towels and bedding were kind of...gross. They had the tassels developed over the years (?) and stains that look not so much fresh. The hand wash was half-empty whilst obviously they added water to not waste any drop - totally support the idea but I might suggest just do this at home not a guesthouse ha! The furniture might do with a bit of upgrade - such as replacing or removing a squashed lamp with a hole(still works though!). As usual the soundproofing is the standard, that we constantly hearing next door banging something. Could understand guests only stay here as a short stop, and perhaps too tired to notice any of the similar things mentioned. But overall I do think they can do better :)

cheap and cheerful odd things need attention but overall great for the price, clean, reasonably priced sbd has alkaline the basics and 2 seconds from all that's to offer.

Nice bathroom, good shower, comfy bed, good host. Heated towel rail. Good selection of tea and coffee in room. Good TV. More facilities than were mentioned in the listing. Good value for money.

A bit shabby, towels could have been better, a bit small & thin. Needed cleaning into the corners. No large mirror in the room and only a small mirror in bathroom.

Had a wide variety on offer, such as Netflix. This is good value. Wide variety for Breakfast.

Could do with a fan during the summer months. Other guests were noisy, but nothing the owner could have done.

The only good thing about our stay was that it was quiet

The lack of basic cleaning, the room was tidy yet lacked any basic cleaning, coffee and tea spills down the front of the bedside table and on the wall behind, scuff marks on skirting and water marks in the bathroom on the wall next to the sink, what looks like a punch mark in the bathroom door, moldy silicant on the shower cubicle and to top it off a used childs plaster under the teabags (was checking to see if there were any more sugar under the teabags has had only been given 4 for a 5 night stay) There was an emergency light above the door which was like sleeping with a lamp on, had asked the owner the first morning if there was anything that could be done about it, he said he would try and find something to cover it, but unfortunately he didn't and didn’t see him again the rest of the week.

I never saw the host. I had to collect the key as per an instruction and left the key on a table when I left as there was no one about. The room was also a bit 'tatty'
