It’s location to the town was excellent, very close to top end of high street and five minute walk to the train

When we arrived there was no one available to get our keys. We rang the number and a young man out of breath ran down the stairs doing up a dressing gown. Handed us the keys and took us to our room, telling us all about parking, places to eat etc whilst wearing nothing but a robe…. The shower would not stay a constant heat. It cycled between scalding and cold, the shower silicone was black with mould. The window opened direct out onto a flat roof - no restrictions to stop a young child gaining access to a fall from the roof. There was an emergency light above the door and it’s green LED indicator so bright I could read my book by its light at night

The property was in a very central location, which was useful for the purpose of my trip. The bed was very comfy, and the shower had great water pressure and variable temperature. Free wi-fi was available and it was fast and reliable.

The room was not as advertised. • The listing stated that there were free toiletries provided. This consisted of an almost empty bottle of shampoo, a half used bottle of conditioner and some hand soap. • The listing said that there was heating, but I could not turn the radiator in the room on, no matter how hard I tried. As the room had single glazing, this meant it was absolutely freezing at night (not helped by the lack of a carpeted floor, something also mentioned in the room listing). I ended up having to sleep with a jumper on, as well as with two hot water bottles and an extra blanket. • Whilst the mattress was very comfortable, the bed linen was not fit for purpose. The duvet was thin, and there was a loose top sheet covering an absolutely filthy and stained mattress, so I was not prepared to sleep under the covers - I ended up sleeping every night on top of the duvet. • There was a TV provided, but no matter how many times I plugged various cables in, or changed the source there was no signal available. • There was a very good shower in the private bathroom, but there was black mould and damp all over the bathroom. There was paint peeling off the walls in there as well. • The listing said that there were towels provided, but on arrival, there was only 1 towel supplied, a stained white hand towel. This meant that I had to go out and buy towels of my own for this trip. There was no extra shower mat provided either which would have been dangerous and potentially a slip hazard on the bathroom floor when exiting the shower. • The listing said that toilet paper would be provided. There was no toilet paper in the bathroom again meaning that I had to go out and purchase my own. Upon arrival, I spoke with one member of staff but was also greeted by a dog. I have an allergy to animal fur which is manageable, but the room I was in was on the ground floor, with the door propped wide open by a chair.

Centrally located - easy check in and check out. Well appointed compact room. Ensuite bathroom with toiletries and towels. Tea and coffee making facilities Black out blinds - very quiet - short stroll to the promenade Comfy bed and TV

No view but the rest made up for that

Nice location and great price.

Room was very run down. Bed very uncomfortable and mix match bedding that smelled damp. Shower was broken and struggled to keep heat, and the floor in the bathroom was raising.

There was no breakfast available even though the sign says bed and breakfast

I didn't I lost £60 I didn't stay there I booked a different hotel and lost my money this is not a hotel its a hostel full of drugs noise and god nos what else there was no way I was sleeping there street dirty and opposite a pub that has raves full of drunks noise and possible violence
