The Host couldn’t have been more accommodating with the early check-in and general helpfulness.

The room was clean,warm and comfortable. Dinner and breakfast were both excellent. Some of the best food we had in Scotland. Staff were friendly and efficient.

Our room was in the annexe, which meant that there was no WiFi. WiFi is only available in the main building. There doesn’t seem to be any outside lighting for the annexe. We had to use a torch to find where the door lock was. When we went into the bar, the entire length of the bar plus the nearest short end were blockaded by people sitting on bar stools. We had to go right to the far end of the bar, stand by the short end and try to attract the attention of the staff to order drinks. The bars we visit got rid of that sort of unwelcoming arrangement many years ago.

Very comfortable, lovely staff, I think it deserves way more than 2 stars and breakfast was lovely too

The only problem with it is the location doesn't have much within walking distance and while theres wifi in the main building there isnt wifi in the rooms making it hard to do much but was still a very relaxing space

Carpet in the room not hygienic very thin walls could hear people in next room like they were in the room with you we went into the bar area the seats smelt of stale urine we sat on a cover that was covering the seat not good also food not up to standard this includes breakfast cereal was brought to us already in the bowl not good very small portions the whole stay was very overpriced

The room was spacious and quiet with plenty of room for two suitcases to be opened. Bathroom modern and clean. Parking on site. The hotel was welcoming and warm. The dinner and breakfast in the hotel were really tasty. The breakfast menu was huge with cereal and a full Scottish breakfast included in our room price. Great fireplace in the hotel. Although the hotel is located on a service road off the main road, we did not hear traffic noise at all.

Nothing but the wifi didn’t work in our room as it was detached from the hotel, but it was very reliable in the hotel - not a problem for us but worth noting

The breakfast for lovely, a full Scottish fry including haggis beside a log burning stove.

The owner was fabulous. She couldn't have done any more. The dinner and breakfast were amazing, especially the breakfast! Bedroom was on the smaller side but fine for one night.
