The Coppice - including off-site health club

Location of the hotel was great for me as I don’t drive. 10 minute walk from the town centre but far enough away so it wasn’t noisy.bus stop just round the corner.

When I arrived at the hotel with my suitcase I was told that my room was on the top floor which was fine but there was no lift and the host didn’t even offer to help me with my case which left me to struggle up several flights of stairs with a heavy suitcase. It’s not like she didn’t realise. She just stood there watching me. As a widowed single traveler I was disappointed in the tiny room that I was put in considering that I was basically paying the same amount as a couple. Bed was really hard and I had hardly any sleep because of this. When I raised this wit the host she just said: well I can’t just go out and buy another mattress just because you’re not happy. Wasn’t prepared to find another solution. At breakfast time I was made to feel like an inconvenience. Everyone else just walked into the dining room and sat where they wanted (couples sat on a table meant for 4 were just left to choose their table) I was made to feel like a naughty child when I sat down at a table and asked by the host to move the following day. If this is the situation then I accept it, but , treat everyone the same and put room numbers on the tables so that people know where they are supposed to sit. The reason that I went to this hotel was because it had an off sight leisure club. I didn’t realise that offsite meant miles away and without a car was a long bus journey away.

The breakfast was really nice and good selection of choices. Lovely room and lovely gym/ spa not far too.

There was an issue with the heating in the room but we had an electric heater to keep warm instead.

The room was lovely and the breakfast is outstanding. The family are lovely and welcoming

It is in a perfect position to get to all the attractions in the area

Near the bus station, adorable breakfast, very beautiful view outside the restaurant. Beverley solved our check-in problem very patiently and friendly.

Breakfast was lovely, we really enjoyed both days.

Would have liked a later time to sit for breakfast.

Everything was great, excellent location, lovely room, lovely breakfast and the owners were so kind. I hope to come back soon.

The pool listed under the facilities on booking is not at the accommodation which is misleading. It should be explained that it is somewhere in the village and not the accommodation. That bit was my only disappointment but apart from that everything was good.
