The Jollys

The room was really spacious and the beds were comfortable! There was a table, three chairs, a small tv (no remote so we couldn’t turn it on) and lots of cupboards and closets. We had looked at reviews before coming that were a bit harsh but those seem a bit nit picky. We thought the decor was cute and loved the little tea station that was set up. I had seen people complaining about noise from the pub but I’d assume that’s just on the weekends. We came on a weekday and there was completely no noise, we had a great sleep. If you need to get downtown you can easily get there from the Jollys, it’s about a block or two away and much more reliable than the busses. A day pass costs about £4 and gets you downtown pretty quick.

The locks were a bit hard to open but once you got the trick of it, it was okay. For the front door you need to turn the key all the way counter clockwise and then push the handle. The room door for us was a bit tricker as we needed to wiggle the key to get it in the lock. There were also some cinders on the carpet by the hearth, we just walked around them though.

Nice room. Cleaner was friendly.

Nobody answers the phone. Couldn't contact Booking.com to extend my stay. I was asked to leave because football was on and people booked online before me. Nobody told me. I am disabled. I couldn't find another Hotel all day. I am very upset.

Location completely suited our needs the staff were wonderful and the price was unbelievable value for the money

Was perfect location lots of shops and public transport nearby. The self check in is so good, love the key and code method.
