Great Cotswolds location, beautiful peaceful village, lovely large garden.

Nothing to dislike

The property is self-contained, and therefore offers privacy. Being self-catering, which I was unaware of as the property was advertised as B&B, was a bonus, as my time was taken more leisurely. The owner of the property was to hand if anything was needed, and was extremely helpful, friendly and obliging, going so far as driving me over to Hook Norton for the wedding I attended.

My only gripe was that the WiFi reception was rather poor and I was confined to using it in the lounge area, and it went off line many times. For my own personal use that was only a minor problem.

had to cook own breakfast but a microwave and portable induction hob were provided. Reasonable selection of cereals, sausages, bacon, bread and jams. Orange juice and milk. Bed was very comfortable, plenty of hot water and the property was spotlessly clean.

Lovely spot with a sweet garden - bees birds, flowers; a quiet, pretty village; great pub and food, just down the road; beautiful part of the world, lots to see and enjoy; and Mary is very welcoming.

Friendly owner, spacious accomodation.

Not quite a bed and breakfast. More like self catering accomodation. Internet was available but could only be accessed in the living room but not a real bother really.

Our experience was perfect to be honest, the bed and breakfast is in a separate little property with absolutely everything we needed. Provisions left for us to cook a fried breakfast or just go continental. Fabulous deep bath with loads of hot water. Beautifully appointed bedroom and very comfy beds looking out over a peaceful, lovely garden. We popped 2 minutes down the road on Saturday evening to The Norman Knight for delicious meal, worth booking ahead. Walked from the property. Mary could not have been kinder nor more helpful. Will definitely return and use this as our ideal base to explore the Cotswolds further. Thanks very much.

Nothing to be honest.

The accomodation was lovely and Mary was a great host. She was helpful if needed as she stays in the house right next to the guesthouse... but left you to yourself to come and go. We chose to stay here mainly for the proximity to Cotswolds Distillery. We were able to walk there in about 30min which saved us organising a taxi. I was impressed with how the guesthouse has been taken care of and the little special touches around bathroom and kitchen. This could easily be a self catering stay for 2 as it has the small fridge, microwave, 2 plate stove top and all the crockery and cutlery you would need. However, as eating out in the Cotswolds is half the fun we mainly did that. I would recommend Wayside to anyone looking to stay in this area of the Cotswolds. The pub across the road (Norman Knight) was a bonus, they made the best thick-cut chips ever!

I can't think of anything we didn't like.

Excellent location for exploring the cotswolds. The cottage was so clean & comfortable, with eggs,bacon & breakfast left for us. Mary made us feel very welcome with our dog. Thoroughly recommend. Jo, Mark & Cooper.

Comfy, cosy and very clean. Everything we needed was provided and Mary is a wonderful and friendly host. Great location for travelling around The Cotswolds and we will 100% booking again
