"Basic but clean, comfortable and good value"

9.0

Clean, comfortable bed, private bathroom with a decent shower. 5 mins walk from Cessnock subway then 10 mins to city centre or West End.

A few dodgy characters outside the rough looking pub round the corner.

"Good enough for a one night stopover if you don't want luxury."

6.0

comfortable, easy access to city, on good bus route, fairly quiet location. Good price.

there was some damage to a wall in the room that had not been repaired. Room in need of decoration, but clean. O.K for me on my own but a bit tight for space if my wife had been with me

"Glad I checked in advance before the weekend I had to be there, or I would have either had a terrible night or have to f"

I didn’t even stay in the hotel, Thankfully I went a week in advance to see exactly where it was, since I just live in Edinburgh, but had to figure out where the park was that a 10k run was taking place. I had got off a could stops too late, (as I hadn’t noticed a hotel in passing). So, when I did get off, I asked someone local, and her facial expression where enough! I did go back along the road, and still couldn’t see it, so I went in to the library nearby, and asked the woman there. She hadn’t heard of it, so looked up the address, and we realised it was near enough next door! She read the reviews, and they said there was noise during the night, and the walls where thin. I then went round, and just the outside of the house was enough so I didn’t even go to the door. Because it was a non-refundable price I lost around £130? But it was worth not having to stay there.

The property was nothing like a hotel, and I even went round the back to see if there was another entrance.
