Good private parking just by the front door. A very friendly welcome from Annie as soon as we arrived. A lovely big bedroom with tea and coffee and bottles of mineral water. I was able to put my special food in the big fridge (I have an awkward diet) and Annie took my ice blocks to refreeze them. Some traffic noise from the nearby road but it didn't keep me awake and I slept well. Large private bathroom with a wide choice of skin lotions etc. Breakfast was help yourself round the kitchen table with a wide choice of cereals etc. A very relaxing stay. We expect to return yet again.

Difficult to find any faults an I don't often write this. Oh yes, we ended up driving practically round the western side of Carlisle to reach the motorway going south as they still hadn't finished the local junction. We were away for 3 weeks (in May 2026) and assume it would be finished by our return - but oh no! 'Expected very soon' - seemed to be the answer.

Been smashing from start to finish. First time we've stayed in a B&B. The cottage was lovely 😍 Anne was very welcoming as soon as we arrived. We booked the big room during our stay (room with private bathroom). The room was bigger than our own living room 😁 She showed us around where everything was. The bed was very comfy (Super King). It's been a while since I've had a deep sleep. There was a range of different things to choose from for breakfast/hot drinks—more choice than you'd get from a hotel. Our new home away from home. We'd definitely be back if in the neighborhood 😊

Anne was a fantastic host, friendly, welcoming and accomodating when I asked if i could leave a little later. I throuoghly enjoyed my stay 😁

Annie’s Guest House is an absolute gem. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed. Annie went above and beyond—she even let us use her kitchen to prepare meals, which made our stay feel wonderfully relaxed and homely. The house is spotless (and I have very high standards), and the location is beautiful. A fabulous place… you’re lucky if you manage to get a booking.

Lovely selection of cereals, bread, jams etc.

At first felt a little intrusive to be walking through Anne’s lounge but she us so lovely it was not a problem at all.

The room was absolutely gorgeous and the host was amazing

Location was near a main road so not many places we could walk outside of the accommodation with toddler and a pram, but plently of places near by to drive to and the house was very private from the main road and had its own drive way and back garden

Wow what a lovely lady Annie is..!! I was made to feel so welcome and nothing was too much trouble. The bedroom was super clean with loads of nice touches - would definitely recommend.

Annie was an amazing host! We had a really lovely time and the room was very comfortable and cosy. The views from the house were beautiful.
