Inverlea Guest House

Recieved a warm welcome and was made to feel at home. Loved my room and was delighted with the little extras. A lovely glass of wine on arrival, chocs and bottled water. There was plenty tea and coffee and nice biscuits daily. Ensuite was small but adequate for myself.Bed was large and comfortable Plenty hot water and lovely fluffy towels. The house is just a short walk from the beach and the town centre. Breakfast is freshly prepared and very good.. A bonus was the beautiful weather while I was there. I hope to stay here again in the near future.

Everything was perfect in the room and the hosts were lovely - welcoming and hospitable. The room had an ensuite, kettle and a TV with Netflix etc options, plus blackout curtains and an openable window (always a plus!). There were nice touches in the room, such as chocolates, biscuits, a card and hot chocolate sachets. There were two bottles of water (despite being a single room) and was even offered a complimentary glass of wine on arrival. Lots of thought had gone into the decor in the bedroom and it looked lush, with velvet and tartan. The house felt grand and Scottish and was well kept. The breakfast was good and plentiful and there was a selection. The locale felt safe. It is a a 10 min walk from the beach, which was great as, arriving late, I still had time to see the beach at sunset and eat at the nice Ayr curry house (recommended by the host). The B and B is also in walking distance to Burns cottage and museum and Rozelle House. There is a pub and restaurant next door. There are also frequent buses to Dunure (5 miles away), where I visited the castle ruins and had a wee dip in the sea. It was easy to get a taxi back to the station (had q heavy luggage).

The coffee at breakfast wasn't fresh coffee; a mini cafetiere or a pod machine (at breakfast and/or in the bedroom) would have been great, as it can be a struggle getting down instant coffee! It felt further from the station than it looked on the map, but this may have been because I had heavy bags, backache and had been walking around Arran in the rain, waiting for the ferry (after one was cancelled), so everything might have felt harder than usual! I was made to feel comfortable and welcome when I arrived, somewhat dishevelled, and could dry my clothes on the radiator and turn it up in my room. The following day I called the taxi number on the cards in the hallway, and it came straight away and the driver was lovely.

The place is nice and cosy, and Liz and Douglas created a atmosphere that we felt very welcome. Wonderful soft towels. Very clean. Good breakfast.

The accommodation is very attractive and is close to the city centre and beach. Our room was of a generous size and was very comfortable with a choice of beds. Everything is kept clean, neat and tidy. Tea, coffee and mineral water all provided. The breakfast is particularly good with very tasty and plentiful food cooked to order. The hosts are very friendly and helpful and take pride in giving the guests a top quality service.

The hosts Liz and Douglas were very friendly and made my husband and I feel very welcome. The guest house ws spotless, and the decor was lovely too. At breakfast, the hosts couldn't do enough to make sure we were satisfied and had enough to eat, and what food we did have was delicious. Can't fault this guest house.

the room was excellent and well decorated . We had the cooked breakfast each morning which was made to order and it was amazing . First impressions count and from the front garden which was immaculate it continued through the room we stayed in and the breakfast room and sun room we had our breakfast in on the second morning .

no complaints from us. Liz and her Husband could not have been more welcoming and helpful with suggestions for places to visit . The B&B is located a short walk from the town centre so it was ideal .

it was a very positive experience from when I arrived until I left. Liz was very friendly & welcoming when I arrived & also offered a welcoming glass of wine - lovely surprise :-) The room was very comfortable with en-suite; clean, well decorated as was the whole B&B areas. Everything I could need was available in the room (tea/coffee/biscuits/toiletries etc). Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice (cereals/fresh fruit salad/scottish cooked). Liz & Douglas fantastic hosts and always available to offer advice or help as need be. definitely a place to return to.

The property was beautiful and cozy.
