Rooms Serafin

Rooms Serafin was very comfortable, clean and friendly. Motovun was very interesting and a great place to visit.

We liked it all. It is on a hill, so wear comfy shoes.

Town of Motovun is a real time capsule. We highly recomend this place for visiting. Room is very confortable and there is a garden beyond house with fantastic view. Our hosts were fantastic. They even gave us lift back to the car park because my wife has a problem with her leg and the climb to the apartment is pritty steep

Great little apartment that seems to have been renovated recently. Very quiet and serene at night, at least during our stay in May. Friendly host :)

Many people have talked about the need to walk to the apartment. That’s normal and expected in Motovun: Cars are only allowed up to a certain point, the rest of the city has to be explored by foot. When you book the apartment, the host will ask about your license plates and send you info about two available parking lots that are close to the city centre, where you can then park for free during your stay (which would otherwise cost per day, if you hadn’t booked a stay). From the closer of the two lots it is a short, mostly uphill walk of about 5 minutes to the apartment, half of which leads over old and crooked cobblestones. Suitcases can be pulled but it’s easier to carry them. Like I said, this is normal for the inner part of Motovun and part of the reason why it’s so quiet and beautiful up there. If you’re a normal person with normal luggage, you can easily make the walk. We liked it there and can recommend a stay.

The main problem was that there was no outside space despite a terrace being described in recent reviews. The accommodation had been remodelled in June 2023 so the terrace was no longer available but the owner had not made this clear in the description. We had to drag our cases what felt like halfway up a mountain. On the final section the cobbles were so rough we had to carry our heavy case as not possible to drag it. Be warned that getting your case to the room now quite a challenge if it is at all heavy. The room was small.

Dahlia was very good about communicating when we were trying to find the place. She also gave us our privacy, but was always willing to help if necessary. It was a great location for walking and exploring old town. I loved our visit.
