Purnama House Ubud

The location of this home to all the shops and restaurants is fantastic and you couldn't get closer to the restaurant and shopping attractions if you tried yet situated in a most beautiful location away from the hustle and bustle of daily life! You only have to walk 50m down their beautiful pebbled pathway, and you are smack bang in the main lane way with the world-class restaurant attractions. The owner of the property and her son are absolutely beautiful and most welcoming indeed! The place is super clean and full of greenery and character with onsite traditional Batik and Offering classes available. The room I am staying in is adorned with traditional Balinese culture with beautiful carved wooden doors and architecture! I absolutely love the bathroom, which is light and spacious with great character! The water pressure is good and the water is hot. My room was offered to be cleaned daily, and I was always asked if there was anything that I needed. The property is lush and green. The bed was nice and firm and just the way I like it! There are some steep stairs to get up to the room and may not be suitable for older folks with bad knees, but I highly recommend the top room if you can. You feel nice and high up with tree and mainly rooftop views, which gives you a perspective of village architecture, and being elevated adds to privacy. Rooms are neat and very clean! It is in a very quiet location and you will sleep well. Be prepared for some roosters who will be your alarm clock, but this is not the fault of the owner! This is someone's home, and it is situated between other homes who have things like birds and roosters. Enjoy being part of urban village life in reality. I loved lying in my bed in the morning and listening to the birds. I will be making this place my residence for future trips to Ubud. For value for money, location, the beauty, the character, and warmth from the host, this homestay is my top pick.

If you come here please don't leave negative reviews. It is a traditional home stay. Somebody's home. They have done everything that they can to make it perfect for you. Be respectful, please! 🙏

I came here expecting to spend a few night alone getting over Bali Belly, when the family found out that I was sick without asking brought me tea and porridge and contacted the local clinic for prices for me, when I said it cost too much the owners son who is a Dr came to my room to make sure I did not have dengue. I was treated with so much kindness and compassion through my time here and proceeded to spend the rest of my time in Ubud here (a lot of that was spent in this room sicker than i have been since I was a kid) I have never stayed somewhere that I have felt like the owners cared so much about me and my well being. Absolutely heart warming experience. The room was clean, their breakfast was really good, and the property is an absolutely beautiful balinese home. Could not recommend somewhere to stay with a stronger conviction.

Staying at Purnama House was such a special experience. The room felt like it was part of a temple—so calm, peaceful, and clean. The breakfast was absolutely delicious every morning, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always with a smile. I especially loved the coincidence of the name “Purnama,” which means full moon—just like my Arabic name, Badr. It felt like a beautiful sign. I’d love to come back one day!

The standard room near the rooftop was a bit moldy in the ceiling and the shower head doesn't work. But the position was good.

The first floor room was really good. All the service was good. Good position in the art market road.

Really lovely hosts, super friendly. The place is well maintained and you leave in the backyard near the family and their beautiful shrine. I recommend warmly ☺️
