Purnama House Ubud

The patio outside the room is really cozy and relaxing. The location is very central to the market of Ubud and there are plenty of restaurants nearby (as well as mini market for cheap beer and snacks). Breakfast was good with fresh fruit and hot drinks, not fancy but great value for the money we spent.

The room is really very clean, smells nice and the breakfast is delicious. But I can't recommend this place even for an overnight stay. The garden inside is very nicely done, and everything is beautiful, but if you value silence, then this is not the best place

I arrived at night and for a long time could not find anyone at the hotel, they did not answer the phone. Although we agreed that I would arrive late. In the end, they met me, but put me in another room on the first floor, although I booked on the second floor with a view, they explained that on the second floor there would be noise from the road. But the first one was also noisy, in the morning the owners went about their normal life very loudly, talking loudly near my doors, there is no isolation from the sounds in the room. I asked twice to let me sleep after the flight, but no one listened. As a result, I refused to stay in this hotel for second day, at 11 am and checked out. I refused to pay the fine for the second day because of the late refusal, so I don’t think it’s fair. I couldn't even sleep normal after the long flight. I paid for 1 night, spent 8 hours in the hotel and then the staff didn’t talk to me, they said you didn’t pay for the room. I read in reviews that this is a quiet place, but this is not true. The owners explained that in any homestay in Bali it is so noisy and the family lives its own life. It is not true. There are many hosts who respect the space of their guests, there are many quiet Balinese families where it is very comfortable to live.

Near music bars and temple, evening - not quiet.

The bed was very comfortable and the air conditioning was brilliant.

The bathroom needed a bit more cleaning, it smelt like cat wee and the shampoo and soap were nearly empty.

If you want to be in the center of Ubud this is the best location. Keep in mind that this is a room in a shared yard. Around you, you will have hosts guests, and neighbors so it's not so isolated or private.
