Cenik House Ubud

Really comfortable and steeped in greenery without bugs. The hosts are really sweet. Cleaned without asking. The other guests are friendly. I liked the kitchen facility as well. Location is quiet yet close to the main area.

+ Clean little homestay with a friendly family, located behind the busy Jl Bisma + Sounds of frogs and crickets at night + Good cheap warung just in front of the homestay

- One of the rooms had moldy smell, but that's a standard in Bali unfortunately - some days breakfast was served a bit late (around 9) so if you like starting your day early, better tell them in advance - The rice field in front of the homestay was not really taken care of, that's a pity

Some scooter noise from back alley. Ants.

The homestay is beautifully located among the ricefields, yet everything is closeby; a superb warung is right outside the home and the street leading to the center is just around the corner with lots of restaurants and cool bars with live music. The owners are super friendly and the breakfast was very good. Tee and coffee, fresh fruits and a different egg dish every day through pur 3 nights stay (omelette, pancake and eggtoast). Amazing value for money. The rooms are bright and clean, though there is a little mould on the walls; I suppose due to the location in the moist fields?! Overall a really nice stay and I would definitely return.
