Sumantra Guest House

Hotel and staff great for our 6 night stay. Hotel is in central location. Quiet, only noise was from birds in the morning. Variety of shops and restaurants very close.

Location was very close to the centre of Ubud and with walking distance of nearly everything. Staff were super friendly and attentive. Additional services such as laundry or private tours were readily available and good value.

The location was excellent, central and within walking distance of everything. It wasn't exceptionally clean, but they cleaned the rooms daily. There were geckos, but we didn't see any in our room. There were also ants, but we didn't see any on the bed. Breakfast was filling, the fruit was fresh and delicious. The view and atmosphere were lovely. The pool was clean.

It wasn't very clean, but it was acceptable.

Rustige ligging, goede locatie. Je waant je in een hindoeïstische tempel met zwembad aan de deur. Ontbijt wordt fris voor je klaargemaakt naast het zwembad.

Enigste minpunt was de douche, waar 1 stevige straal de overhand had en en enkele stralen de gehele wc “overvloeden”.

Mi estancia en este alojamiento fue muy satisfactoria. Está ubicado en pleno centro de Ubud, lo que lo convierte en una opción ideal para moverse fácilmente y disfrutar de la zona. El personal es muy amable y siempre dispuesto a ayudar, lo que hace que la experiencia sea aún más agradable. Las habitaciones están limpias y bien cuidadas, y además tienen el detalle de dejar agua todos los días, algo que se agradece mucho. El desayuno está bien, cumple con lo necesario para empezar el día con energía. En general, es un lugar cómodo, bien ubicado y con un buen servicio. Sin duda, lo recomendaría.

Como único punto a mencionar, aunque no es responsabilidad del alojamiento, por las mañanas temprano (alrededor de las 5) se escucha un pájaro bastante ruidoso, cuyo sonido puede parecer un despertador natural. Aun así, forma parte del entorno y de la experiencia local.

Fantastic location, friendly staff, beautiful guest house. The room was spacious and the balcony was large. Breakfast was good, I recommend the banana pancake and fresh orange juice!

Staff broke my luggage lock. As a solo female traveller I didn’t feel comfortable reporting it til I left Ubud. Would not recommend.

Did not feel safe. They didn’t take anything from my suitcase luckily as I keep all valuables on me. Be careful. Don’t leave your things.
