Great dive resort with all the amenities one want. We opted for the bungalow with ocean views but the garden view ones are also ok and much cheaper. There are so many lounge options available that one can enjoy the ocean view. The pool is a great plus after a dive session or just for relaxation. We liked the food and the communal dining set up. After being on different resorts in the Togean, which offer only fish dishes, we were positively surprised to find chicken and beef on the menue. And even so my wife doesn’t scuba dive anymore she enjoyed the snorkel trips they offer. All in all a must visit if you are in the Togean.

No complains at all.

"Resort great but animal cruelty"

8.0

Very nice resort and dive center. Very friendly staff and affordable prices with really good food. One has to account that when booking through booking.com that only includes accommodation. For full board (food and facilities) you have to pay another 150-200k a day In addition you can also do a volcano tour via locals that pick you up on scooter. The hike goes along a boiling hot river and ends at several high pressure geysers. The island itself is beautiful. For those interested there are two or three minor warungs at 15min walking distance in the local village.

They treat animals very cruel. From stories we heard and what we experienced ourselves they would leave baby kittens locked under tiny plastic boxes for long times and would also abandon infant puppies and kittens that were still drinking milk at the other side of the island to fend for themselves. We experienced this ourselves when they took kittens on the sunset boat drive to the other side of the island. This is due to the fact that the owner refuses to pay for the sterilization of his pets and every couple months several pets get pregnant and that is their way of dealing with it. (In the picture it shows the kittens we witnessed being stranded) At one point we also saw the owner shouting loudly at staff and slamming a pen to the floor while all the guests where having dinner next to him.

"Great spot for diving!"

10.0

The staff is very friendly. The nice food is served on time (and they provide vegetarian food too). Our cottage was well equiped. Diving around Unauna is great and we also enjoyed the snorkeling right next to the jetty! Dian was very helpful in organising our ongoing trip to Gorontalo, thanks again!

"Diving is great, living at this resort not so."

7.0

Dive center worked perfectly and diving was really good, thanks to local (indonesian) diveguides, who were active and interested to show the best the island has to offer and had a very positive mindset and great expertise. They also introduced themselves with names and said good morning every day so you felt welcome. They also quite well kept the international dive guides in order (international staff seemed to forget that they are working at a customer service field and merely tryed to maximize their own diving experiences and comfort in a quite arrogant way and with negative attitude). Good thing is that local staff stays and international changes often so this problem will maybe be quickly solved. Resort was well built and the best villas nice to live in if you can get past to the fact that it was really dirty. Local (indonesian) staff was very friendly and helpfull. All transportation to the island and back worked like clockwork and were managed by the resort.

Resort was really dirty, cleaning needed to be asked (not a rutine) and after asking it was done very superficially. Even between guest the rooms were not cleaned properly and dead flyes and dust was left on the surfaces and shelfs to wait for the next client (all surfaces and even the fridge in the room had dead flyes in it). Same applied to common spaces, especially water dispenser by the pool was filthy. Resort would need 2 good cleaners (local folks salaries are so low that it would not cost a lot), that would make a great difference as the rooms were nicely built and decorated. This resort is mostly suitable for people who smoke because smoking is allowed everywhere and all people smoke all the time, even at dive briefings and around pool area. After wishing a smoke free briefings and no smoking at dive boat the local staff hears about the wish but other guests and international staff keeps on smoking. So if you wish to stay in a smoke free area you have to buy a better villa with own terrace and spend time there (and hope that the neighbours don't smoke all the time). International staff did not introduce themselves so it was difficult to know who is staff and who is just hanging around as a dive bumb. Food (fullboard) was simple, for some reason not so much fish, fruits and vegetable that you would expect in a place like this (middle of nature and local farmers and fishermen all around the resort).

We had a lovely stay at Sanctum Una Una. From the moment we arrived, we felt well cared for. Cedric took the time to patiently show us around, even though he wasn’t feeling well and was on his way to see a doctor—something we truly appreciated. The team was kind and attentive, and the food was excellent, offering a delightful mix of Indonesian and European cuisine. The manager, Dian, was incredibly friendly and approachable. In a conflict situation with another guest, she handled things with remarkable calm, wisdom, and grace, which left a lasting impression on us. We stayed in the seaview room, which was spacious, beautifully designed, and offered a stunning view.

"Great place for diving"

9.0

Well run place, beautiful dive sites nearby, excellent and very helpful dive guides, good food, very friendly staff. For diving Unauna is the best place in Togian islands.

Rooms are a bit worn out (but you are outside most of the day). For non divers Unauna is probably less suitable. Put your shoes in a “safe” place, if they are somewhere around on the floor dogs might eat them.
