Sanctum Una Una Eco Dive Resort

We l-o-v-e-d it!! The staff is great, the prepared food is fresh, delicious and plentiful and there are on site fridges, always stacked with cold drinks and snacks (works like an honesty bar, you pay what you consuned at the end of your stay). The garden and the pool is lovely and the rooms comfy and spacious. Would have loved to extended our trip, even as non divers (to grt the chance to leave aa divers :)).

Some hangers would be handy in the bath and our toilet seat was broken. Also (but not the owner's fault): Misinformation on booking.com - the A/C is NOT included in the room price even though it says so.

Food was incredible. Staff and owner were incredibly helpful and accommodating. Lots of places to relax around the property. Diving staff was very professional and we felt very safe with our sons getting their diving certifications during our stay.

Very beautiful property, comfortable rooms, the friendliest staff ever, BEST food, great location, you are guaranteed to have a lot of fun here! It is also so peaceful to relax. Thanks so much we really enjoyed our stay

The pool turned my hair green- so bring anti chlorine/mineral shampoo😂 also, we only ended up doing two dives instead of three as we would have dived the same dive spot three times. It was changed last minute due to current, which I understand, but it was disappointing only diving in one spot during our stay.

Good Location

- excellent diving (guids, gear, spot) - excellent food - beautiful common area - beautiful room with seaview - the hosts and all the staff make you feel very welcome and organise tours for you (eg to the volcano, to jelly fish lake on our way back)

The stuff is very welcoming and available for anything. I felt always safe when diving with them. The diving stuff is one of the best I found during my trip in Indonesia. Staying there was surely relaxing and the location is amazing. The food was delicious and abundant.

It took 3 hours to get to Una Una from Wakai and 2,5 hours on the way back from Una una to Wakai. The boat was the slowest I was on in my life. If I had swum, I would have arrived before the boat. They are working to fix it. During 2 heavy rains, some water came into the wardrobe making some clothes wet. This is something improvable for sure. Apart from this, everything was perfect.

Sanctum resort is one of the most spectacular places we stayed at, with spacious rooms overlooking the ocean. Cedric is a amazing host and is passionate about offering his guests the best experience. All the staff are super friendly and I commend them on the high level of service delivered, which is rare in these parts. The food is also great with lots of variety on offer. Huge bonus having 24 hours electicity, free wifi and an infinity pool. The bed was extremely confortable. We highly recommend this establishment.

Thank you Fate, Vita, Anti, Dila & everyone else for making our stay so pleasant! + Tasty high quality food at every meal alternating nicely between Indonesian and European dishes. Also some more special items served at times such as salad with vinaigrette dressing, home made focaccia and pandan cake. Yum! + The location by the black sand beach is pretty; sea views surrounded by garden and trees. + Rooms facing the sea in a small block were light and airy and nicely decorated. Great comfortable bed and brand-new mosquito net. We also had a large balcony with chairs and hammock. + Facilities were superb: hot water in the shower, power & WiFi available around the clock and even a fresh water swimming pool! + You can join the dive boats as a snorkeler for 50,000Rp per dive site (half day with 2 dives would be 100k) + Good common areas for yoga and for hanging out

- We had some trouble with some small animals inside our room /roof at night which our hosts thankfully did try to fix during our stay. It was necessary to keep any soap bars in plastic containers outside and to absolutely not have any food in the room. - As snorkelers /free-divers, we were happy to be able to join the dive boats for a reasonable fee, however we felt that little more attention could have been given by the owner /diving staff to make the experience better and safer. It felt somewhat unorganised: there was no route briefing for snorkelers /free-divers, the boats were quite far away while we were in the (at times rocky) waters and we had to swim back instead of being picked up. This wasn’t so much of an issue for us, but more inexperienced people may have felt less safe and confident. - It was challenging to organise onward travel to North (Gorontalo) from the resort at the time of our stay, partly due to one of the Togean public ferries being under maintenance, partly due to Sanctum not having a suitable speed boat of their own. We therefore organised a charter directly with the resort next door. This caused some upset with Sanctum and we found out that unfortunately these two resorts are not in good terms with each other. It’s a shame as guests on both sides (and also the resorts) would no doubt benefit from being able to share expensive charter boats with each other.
