Sumatra Orangutan Discovery Villa

Super accueil de la part de tyson ! Il a vraiment été très agréable et prêt à nous rendre service et à discuter. La chambre était très jolie et confortable. Le jardin est magnifique bref on se sent super bien! On recommande ! Le petit déjeuner mais aussi les repas sont très bons.

We had an incredible time during our stay in Bukit Lawang, which is such a beautiful and welcoming place. We did a 2 day overnight trek where we saw orangutans in their natural habitat – truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience. We also did the village life tour, which gave us a great insight into the local culture and way of life. We were looked after by Dian and Rahmat who were absolutely fantastic: knowledgeable, friendly, and made us feel completely safe and at home. I cannot recommend them enough. The accommodation was lovely – clean, comfortable, and with stunning views of the rainforest. The food was excellent throughout our stay.

The staff is amazing, we felt very welcomed. The rooms are very good and clean and the food really tasty. I would really recommend them, 10/10.

We had an incredible jungle experience staying here! The location is perfect if you want to relax after a day of trekking, the garden is beautiful with serene views of the jungle and fields next to the river. The food is amazing, I had jungle porridge every day for breakfast and Indonesian coconut curry with tofu for dinner. Everything was delicious so no need to go to the town for dinner. Tyson organised all our treks with very knowledgeable and ethical guides and just for the 2 of us. I really recommend to book with him as there are some large groups with less ethical guides. The staff are all so nice and friendly, we were sad to leave at the end!

Like most people we were in Bukit Lawang to do a jungle trek and see the orang utans. We booked - and had to book - the tour through this accommodation. Our guide very clearly was not interested in giving the tour, which was a huge disappointment.

The staff are all resoundingly lovely and happy to help you. The food from the restaurant was also very good and everything fairly priced. Overall, very good value for money. Excellent communication ahead of the stay. Thanks, especially to Tyson and Lana (who joined our trekking tour) as well as the other staff. The 2D1N jungle trek with Ahmad Yani and Lana was superb. Highly recommend it all.
