Duyung Rooms & Resto Gerupuk

My 2 weeks in this homestay were fantastic! Karyadi Duyung and his family are always happy to help you with anything and organise transportation for you anywhere. The rooms are very spacious and confy with aircon. Thank you Karyadi!

The Duyungs are very helpful, welcoming hosts, and it felt like leaving home when we left. The food from their kitchen Is very good and we ate there often. I would definitely stay there again as these are very special people and they have a nice place.

Duyung and his family are exceptional hosts - very friendly, welcoming and always helpful. The photos are true to what is there. The food is great, scooter hire and surf excursions was made very easy thanks to Duyung. The hospitality is fantastic.

The toilet and shower in the bedroom could be improved (not modern), but I got used to it :)

Excellent host offering solid communication and a family like experience. It was very helpful to rent motorbikes and arrange transportation without needing to step outside the homestay. The food prepared was top notch and probably the best in town. Several nearby places facing Aan beach at the southeastern edge of the bay were clearly most memorable and worthy of attention. The beaches there were clean and the water more clear of debris.

Although Gerupuk might be better than most areas, Lombok generally is amidst a giant tourism push and finding authentic experiences is increasingly difficult.

The place was amazing, M.Duyung and his wife are great person and they will always make everything to make you feel at home.

Everything is unfortunate. Booking doesn’t allow ratings lower than 1, otherwise, I would. The neighborhood is a dump. All kinds of noise: loudspeakers from Muslims, dogs, roosters. The nearby beach they advertise is only for fishermen. I paid for 7 nights and only stayed one (without sleeping). They refused to acknowledge the rest and didn’t refund my money. I rented a scooter at 11 AM, and by the evening, they asked me to return it. The price is way too high for how bad the place is. A suffocating smell of humidity. The bathroom door doesn’t close. Clavos oxidados dentro del baño No hot water. To flush the toilet, you have to pour water with a bucket. I would never come back and wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

Family run and very accommodating. Good delicious and inexpensive food. Mr. Duyung took me to a stick fighting festival twice.

I had an amazing stay at Duyung Rooms and Resto. It’s a family-run place, and they made me feel at home right away. The family is incredibly welcoming and always ready to help, whether it’s arranging a boat for surfing, renting a scooter, or offering tips on the best spots around. The rooms are spacious and simple – no luxuries, but everything you need for a comfortable stay. The food is delicious, and they also offer a laundry service. I initially planned to stay just a few days but ended up staying for two weeks because I loved it so much. If you’re looking for a cozy, no-fuss place with great people and amazing food, this is it! I’ll definitely be coming back next time I’m in Gerupuk.
