The Rice Joglo Eco-Stay

Awesome and beautiful location in the rice fields but close enough for an easy stroll into Ubud. Staff were absolutely delightful!

We had a truly memorable stay at Rice Juggalo as a family of five in the Firefly Gigolo. Sonu was the most wonderful host, so kind, attentive and always making sure we were looked after. We ate dinner at the restaurant both nights and the food was absolutely exquisite, some of the best we’ve had on our travels. Breakfast each morning was just as delicious and beautifully prepared. The Firefly Gigolo is about a 10 minute walk from the main property, which wasn’t a problem at all. On arrival we were picked up by mopeds from the main road much to the delight of the children. The pool at the main site was lovely, fresh, clean, and the perfect way for us to cool off. The kids adored the animals on the farm and loved getting involved with feeding them and even washing the tortoises. It’s such a special place for children to run free, play, and connect with nature. We felt so welcomed and relaxed throughout our stay. Highly recommend this peaceful little gem for families or anyone wanting an authentic, heartwarming experience.

Sonu and the team at The Rice Joglos were super friendly, polite, helpful and lovely. Breakfasts were delicious and plentiful, Sonu helped us with any request we had and we loved being close to Ubud but nestled in the peave and tranquility of the rice fields. We would highly recommend staying at The Rice Joglos and the 3 bedroomed house we took was excellent value for money.

A little building noise from the kitchen extension was a little annoying although any time we asked them to stop (during meals etc) they did immediately and I think this will be very soon finished x

We loved that our kids could wonder and explore the area and all the animals. Sonu and staff were amazing and always happy to help and share their knowledge on the area and surroundings.

The place was absolutely lovely! Staff were fantastic the free breakfast delicious!!! Highly recommend!! It is a 20 min walk on a path from the road (like it says - but it made it a great adventure with the kids!!) they provided scooter for when we arrived and left so that made it really easy with bags!! Great stay for our family!
