The Rice Joglo Eco-Stay

The breakfast is great, the people are helpful. We had a great great stay in this place.

Located in the middle of Rice fields, The Rice Joglo is a family owned stay home. It is located a bit far from the main road. The cars can reach only till the main road entrance. From there, it's about 20 minutes' walk to the property. The road is for pedestrians and bikes only. Transportation of luggage is by scooters. We stayed in a villa called Firefly. The villa is about 10 to 15 minutes walk from the main property, which is where the restaurant and pool are located. Friendly staff. Decent breakfast. There's a farm attached to the main property with some duck, guinea pigs, goats, and chicken.

Flies in restaurant. The pool is very small. Though not related to the property, one thing we noticed was the constructions coming up in the area. More and more fields are getting converted to resorts, spas, and restaurants. At this rate, we felt that the Rice fields would disappear in a few years.

Wat hebben we hier genoten in het prachtige huis, je ziet dat dit met liefde, aandacht en zorg is ingericht, net als het restaurant. Fantastische accommodatie waarbij veel van de gebruikte groenten en fruit van eigen land komen, waar gezellig verschillende dieren rondscharrelen. The Rice Joglo ligt midden in de rijstvelden en weg van het drukke Ubud. Met een minuut of 20 wandelen door een mooie route, zit je in hartje Ubud. Buitengewoon goede sfeer hangt hier, mede door de super behulpzame en vriendelijke mensen, ze staan direct klaar voor een praatje of uitleg over de omgeving. Tevens een heerlijk ontbijt.

L’emplacement est absolument top! Dans les rizières! La nature et le calme, indispensables et bienvenus après le tumulte du centre de Ubud qui peut être rejoint par un joli chemin à travers les rizières en 20 minutes à pied. Nous retiendrons de notre séjour, l’extrême gentillesse du personnel et l’accueil si chaleureux de Sonu. Le petit déjeuner est superbe. Nous avons particulièrement apprécié les efforts et la démarche écologique de cet établissement qui s’inscrit dans une très belle dynamique en harmonie avec son environnement!

The property is beautifully located in the rice fields, about a 20-minute walk from Ubud Palace – which we found perfectly manageable. Our house was spacious but a bit older. Unfortunately, it rained all day during our stay, and we had some water on the ground floor. Still, the staff – especially the manager Sonu – were very friendly and helpful!

Our family enjoy the time at The Rice Joglo, the bungalow is very well decorated and the kids enjoyed the small pool and had fun using bike from the main road to the property. Sonu is an amazing host, ensuring everything is ok!

* het hotel ligt tussen de rijstvelden, je wordt met scooters opgehaald. Geweldige ervaring! Kids konden er geen genoeg van krijgen * Het personeel is super lief en behulpzaam! De manager, is enorm lief naar de kids. * Hele mooie locatie, super mooie kamers in unieke Balinese stijl. * Het ontbijt is zo lekker en alles is vers! * De diertjes zijn een + punt wanneer je kids hebt. Én ze mochten hen voederen.

Magnifique moment au Rice Joglo, notre "Joglo" était superbe, très bien décorée, splendide. sonu et son équipe sont aux petits soins. Les lieux sont paisibles. Mention spéciale au petit déjeuner vraiment délicieux et fait Maison ! On reviendra !
