Heat/hot water was not working well, rooms next to kitchen vent, always smelled food

Everything was grand room was lovely

It was a bit far out from killarney town

Spacious room, comfortable bed, hot shower, on-site restaurant food was great. Convenient location if you’re driving from Cork and want to avoid touristy Killarney (and save money) with easy access to Killarney National Park.

Check-in process was confusing - have to go via restaurant door and the bartender will give you the keys.

The locations was great and having the pub downstairs was lovely

I think the rooms are tired and need some TLC. No glasses were provided in the rooms and our bed headboard had slipped down to the floor and was essentially useless. Rather ‘old school’ accommodation .

Really lovely, friendly staff. Comfortable, clean room.

Breakfast wasn’t until 9:00, and there was no staff member when we came down. We left and ate at a cafe in town.

Unfortunately, our stay was very disappointing. The room was dirty and clearly had not been vacuumed properly. The bed sheets and pillows had visible stains, which was unacceptable. There was also mold in the room, the windows were not properly sealed, and the heating barely worked. Another inconvenience was that there was no hairdryer available — not even one to borrow. The check-in process also felt unusual and unprofessional, as it took place directly at the bar counter. The service was inconsistent: one waiter was extremely friendly and even brought drinks to the table, while another simply left the drinks at the bar without informing us. The kitchen closes already at 8:30 PM, which is quite early. In addition, there was even a sesame seed floating in the milk served to us, which raised hygiene concerns. The first impression when entering the hotel was also unpleasant, as the toilet is located directly near the entrance and there was a very strong smell.
