Gusti Home Stay Ubud

Only the location of the Homestay is good. Everything else is superminus. I would ban this place.

I have stayed in many small family Homestays in Ubud, but this was the dirtiest of all. The bathroom is just filthy and nothing works. (Basic, like the bathroom lights) I had to ask them when i arrived to clean it first again,cos the toilet seat was filthy and huge spiderwebs-filled with prey- were everywhere. I saw how they cleaned it, so i went outside and bought a strong toilet cleaner myself. The bathtub is sooo dirty and old, that it is unusable, only for shower you brave to stand in(but had to ask for help for the hót water first) The kitchen outside, which you can use again filthy. When i asked for a mug, i didnt take it, i would t drink from it. I had a few fruits with me, but i opened the fridge, and i would t dare use it as well. The thing is, that they have 2 new rooms - wich you can see in the photos -, but both is rented out for long term, they should take down those photos from booking.com, cos they are not available for very long term! Only the left wing, with the old rundown rooms are available. It is very missleading. Hygien is very much an issue. I would ban this place from online booking platforms. Cleaning is not enough, - and they have no clue about cleaning - when from a broken 40 year old sink has dirty wholes, and huge bugs running back and forth through it. The facilities which you see are lies. The rooms you see on the pictures are lies. Never ever again Gusti homestay.

A decent place at the heart of Ubud right next to the main road. The room was comfortable and acceptably clean and had a well-working, silent air conditioning. I was afraid of the bedbugs mentioned in the other reviews, but didn't see any when checking. The terrain of the accommodation looks nice and has much potential and the swimming pool area also looks inviting (but it really needs a cleaning session!).

Despite the great location, I wouldn't come here again and don't think it's worth the money (I regret not paying for a nice hostel). I wanted a chill place to unload from the busy Ubud centre, but it's not that relaxing here. The owners have two annoying and aggressive dogs. Even though I'm a dog person, these were unpleasant to be around with. They bark and growl loudly all the time (also in the morning, nice natural alarm), approach you and stand by your door to enter your room, don't listen well to you when you say they have to leave nor to the owners themselves. In addition, the owners (I think it's a family) are not quiet, call each other all over the terrain, talk loudly, and start playing music from 7:30 onwards. I'm not used to this from Indonesians at all actually. They are kind though and greet you, so I'm sure they don't mean to be like this. The walls are very thin too, so you also hear noise from your neighbours. Conclusion; don't go here if you dislike disturbingly loud people and dogs.

The place is nice and well tree and flower-filled, the swimming pool is pleasant. There is a kitchen, it's convenient. The location is great if you want to enjoy Ubud without a motorbike.

The room was not very clean, and the Aircon was pretty old (functioning but not very strong). Very noisy in the morning (from 6am) but I was the budget room, so I guess the guests with higher budget with the rooms at the back were not annoyed but the early noise.

Set in a large lovely garden. In centre but quiet and well st back from road. Spacious room and balcony. Fully equipped guest kitchen. Extremely friendly staff. There is an. Excellent indonesian restorant about 50m down the road, I think called Fare. Great food and less than half the price of the flashy main street places
