Dilshan Cottage

The location is great, peaceful and not far from main street.

Our stay with Dilshan was very pleasant. We liked that it was a bit away from the busy street (believe me, if you like your sleep you do not want to stay in the main street). It was quiet and only a short walk away from the center. It was also close to the Nine arches bridge and little adam’s peak. The breakfast was nice and it was even too much for us to finish it all! The room and bathroom were very clean and there was a nice little terras with a very nice view. Thank you Dilshan!

When we first entered the room, we were a bit concerned because we saw a little bit of mold that was painted over. However, it was not damp in the room and there was also no smell, so it did not bother us that much. Mainly because it was cleaned so well.

The location is not far from the downtown area but far enough to have a relaxing stay. You can easily walk to small Adams Peak and the 9 arch bridge from there. The host was a wonderful gentleman who made sure my stay was an excellent one and provided me with useful information during my stay. He even arranged my transfer to Trincomalee which I appreciated. The room itself was very comfortable with a fan that kept the room at a nice temperature as the nights are cool.Nice bed and good hot water pressure.

Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Suoer nice view. We had to leave really early and he still got up at 3 am so we could have our breakfast, which was super nice.

The room has enough space but no extra space. Bathroom towels had stains on them.

Quite a few bugs in the room, but that is not the accomodations fault.

The bed was so comfortable and the sheets felt really soft and lovely. The shower was great and was hot which was lovely as Ella is a bit cooler! Dilshan was the kindest host, always helping us and checking on us - he helped us hire a scooter for a few days and arranged a tuktuk to the station when we were leaving. His breakfast was varied each day and was great value for money. The location is also great, taking less than 10 mins to walk down the road to the main strip. And it’s really close to the path for the Nine Arch Bridge which is really handy too.

We were 7 persons in 3 rooms & found the location was quiet but close enough to stroller in to town. Hands to Little Adams peak & 9 arch bridge. Rooms very clean good hot water & comfortable.

Don't wish to be unkind but owner appeared lonely and was never far away when ever you turned around.

Perfect location in a quiet street - close to the bus stop, a few minutes walk from the centre, near the trailheads of 9 arch bridge and Little Adam’s Peak (perfect especially for a sunrise hike). The Fantastic caretaker makes sure the guests feel welcome and is ready to help with anything! He Also prepares delicious local breakfast with fresh fruits. The property is clean and has a lovely balkony.

We noticed some stains on the ceiling - we weren’t sure if it was ordinary stains or mold, but it would be good to look into it and remove it/repaint it
