Riad Dar Omar

It was a pleasure staying at Omar's place. The riad is exceptionally beautiful and it also has a comfy and cute terrace! The breakfast is generous and the wifi works quite well - which was suitable for us as we worked remotely. Thank you for our nice stay!

The Riad is located in the center of the Medina, on a quiet and narrow street, very close to Bab Boujloud (The Blue Gate). Our host was very welcoming, kind and helpful. He even prepared a takeaway breakfast for us the next morning when we had to leave early. The Riad was authentic and clean and has a nice roof terrace where you can spend the evening. The room was clean and comfortable, just fine for one - two nights. The breakfast was typical Moroccan and very tasty. I recommend it for the experience.

Omar was ha excellent host who made us feel comfortable straight away. He helped with advice about the city. The room was clean and spacious. The breakfast was the best we’d had yet in Morocco!

The Riad is easy to find (all things considered). Close to many attractions. Nice steamy shower, comfortable bed. Beautiful decor and delicious breakfast included. Omar is very helpful (without being pushy) and very accommodating of your needs to make your stay better. You can park in a nearby parkade ( 30Dh/day) and it will be safely kept while you stay at Omar's. I would stay again.

Omar was very helpful, friendly and considerate: He waited for our arrival at the entrance of the Medina; helped us actively to print the boarding pass; and showed us the cats the community has been taking care of <3 During our stay, Omar gave us a feeling of being at home!!! 2. The room was clean with all amenities required. Loved the scent and the aesthetic touch of the riad! 3. Breakfast was satisfactory.

Manager Omar is extremely friendly. My partner and I got sick and had to stay in the hotel almost the whole time and he was attentive and allowed us last minute to stay one further night after we had to cancel pur onward journey. Very easy to get to with clear directions.

Located in the center of Fez with parking nearby. Ideal for visiting Fez. Exceptionally welcoming staff. Clean rooms.

Great value for what you pay. Fantastic location, clean, and very good breakfast.

The bathroom was old and could use a renovation, but you can't forget the price.

The detail in the tile was pretty.

The security was poor. I locked the door to my room before leaving for the Medina. I know because the cleaner asked for the key to enter the room because she couldn’t get in. I gave it to her and asked only for more toilet paper and to not do anything else. The key was returned 5 min later and I left. When I returned from my outing the door to my room was open and the cash I had in the room was gone. There was also no one around when I arrived back so I do not know how long the place was unattended with no one watching over it. When I went to tell the caretaker of the discovery he was no where to be found. Later when I could actually tell him, he expressed little concern, only anger that I even brought up the idea of theft. I do not know who took the money, I only wish the caretaker could have shown some empathy and concern for what happened on the property under his watch.

Beautiful riad located close to Bab Boujeloud (main western entrance to the medina) and Bou Inania Madrasa. Several nice cafes/restaurants nearby. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Would prefer healthier breakfast options.
