Riad Rayhana

Good breakfast. Fantastic location. Omar, Hassan and Ishan were wonderful. Omar in particular helped me arrange a tour, laundry, and made many helpful recommendations. The riad is beautiful and the roof terrace has a great view.

The room needs a suitcase stand and a night table for guests to place items. The stairs are pretty steep but the handrails are strong.

First and foremost, the staff (Omar and Hassan) are exceptional. Omar was very patient and helpful during our booking process and check in. He welcomed us with mint tea and pastries. Hassan guided us from Hotel Batha into the Medina to the riad, gave us directions about the Medina, and served a heavenly breakfast. Both of them are extremely courteous and pleasant. The riad itself is decorated nicely. It's a short distance from the blue gate, reachable via a quite straight forward route. Omar booked a local guide for me to tour the Fes Medina for half day. Our guide Mohammed worked out really well.

The room was very beautiful, spacious and clean. The people that work in the hotel helped us with everything we wanted. The location is perfect.

Stayed two nights in December 2024 in the Deluxe Junior Suite. What a GORGEOUS building. My room was huge, with a queen four-poster bed and two twin beds and about 20' high ceilings. The door was stained glass, as were the internal windows. They provided curtains for the door and windows, which is necessary especially because this room is on the ground floor adjacent to the communal lounges. The bathroom was absolutely stunning, all tile. The rooftop terrace was enormous Omar and Hassan were excellent hosts, very attentive and helpful. Omar arranged for my dinner at a local restaurant, which was the most beautiful restaurant I have ever dined in. He also arranged for an escort to and from the restaurant so that I wouldn't get lost. Breakfast was delicious but far too much food for one person! This was my only problem as a solo traveler, but I had that problem everywhere. Too much food! Eggs, crepes, yogurt, soup, pancake with bananas, harcha, bread, dates, olives, plus OJ, coffee, and tea.

This isn't a problem with Rayhana, but with Fes in general. Because Fes' water supply is from mineral springs, there is a smell in the bathrooms or anywhere connected to the water. Showering comes with a smell, but it doesn't linger on you afterwards, so it's fine.

Clean, comfortable accommodation. Very attentive and helpful staff (particularly Hassan), we had a lovely stay and would highly recommend.

Hosts were lovely and helped navigate us from the parking to the road via WhatsApp video. They offered to meet us at the parking as Fes can be tricky to navigate but we were so late and even though they were still wanting to meet us, we decided to start walking but instantly got lost. You can rely on the hosts here to make sure you arrive easily and safely. The style and charm was beautiful. Welcome tea on arrival. Great experience overall.
