Pemuntalan Guesthouse

Location is amazing and rooms are super clean. Despite having an open roof bathroom, we hardly saw any insects/reptiles in our 1 week stay. We even rented scooter from the property.

Everything was great.

We had a wonderful stay. The bungalow was clean and comfortable. The location was amazing - just outside of the crazy loud area, but close enough to the happening areas. The Thai food next door had the best food we had in Indonesia. The owner was friendly. His English isn't great, but is enough to check-in and get by.

It could also get quite loud at night (up until 10pm or 11pm), since the sound insulation is bad and you can hear everything in the Thai restaurant next door and in the other guest rooms. It would be nice to have a bigger desk inside the room. There was a small vanity dresser, but too small to do any computer stuff on it.

Very clean room at a central location on the island. Good bed and beautiful bathroom. Very friendly owner. Opportunity to rent a good scooter and lots of options to eat in the neighbourhood. The GH also has its own restaurant with everything from breakfast to dinner. Can recommend!

The room was great with a simple setup: bed, 2 end tables, wardrobe, and small desk/chair. Outlets were easy to find and access. Linens were clean. Towels, toilet paper, soap, and shampoo provided. Air conditioner worked perfectly. No creepy crawlies. Bathroom is private. Hot water for showering. Bottled water provided by owner. Wayan, the owner, is super friendly, helpful, and provided great prices on snorkeling and other activities. Location is on the edge of the touristy areas -- it's close enough to walk to Dream Beach/Devil's Tear (10 min) or Sunset Bar (20 min), but far enough away that it's quiet at night. There are also plenty of food places and convenience stores nearby (cafe next door had super delicious and healthy food).

Things to know: - Wifi was spotty for me. It wouldn't connect in the mornings and would disconnect at random times. But others didn't seem to have this problem, it could have just been my phone. So I went to a cafe when I needed to work. :) - The bathroom is outdoors, with walls that go up about 8 feet and an overhang above. So there's a gap where the sun/rain comes in and you can hear your neighbor in the bathroom or people eating at the cafe right behind the wall. Surprisingly, I saw no bugs/lizards the whole 3 days I was there!

everything! it was a comfy stay, the room is pretty big for me and the bed was also super comfy basic amenities like soap and shampoo is available as well.. all good, a very nice and humble staff as well

The room was very spacious and clean. It was in a great location only a few minutes walk to the beach. The manager was very kind and friendly and really looked after us.

Staff were great and helpful with any of our requests. It is located around loads of places to eat and drink. Rooms were cleaned daily without asking. It is walking distance from Devils tear and other attractions. You can rent out a bike as the main area is only a 10 minutes drive away.

The bathroom door had big gaps in which lead to the outside bathroom. This didn’t affect our stay but we did keep the lights off as soon as it got dark.

Without paying the high prices near the beach, this location was excellent. We could still walk to the beach (inlcuding with a pushchair) and get around easily with an easily organised scooter. The staff were really friendly and couldn't do enogh to help us. We used 3 of the nearby beaches (we could walk to Dream Beach and Sandy Bay beach club, but got a scooter to Mushroom Bay). Lots of little shops nearby (restaurants, cafe's, convenience stores,spa's), which was great too.

Breakfast was nice, although got a bit repetative (particulalry for young children - pancakes every day). On our fourth morning we paid to go somewhere else.
