Ayu Bungalow 2

I was lucky to be able to park my car as its pretty limited there for parking. The walk in was quite far but that was an adventure and all flat, so no problem. The rooms are all close , side by side, but it was quiet enough. The location is good for walking to restaurants and shops etc.

The bathroom is very basic and the extra bed we asked for was a mattress on the floor.

My stay at Ayu Bungalow 2 in Ubud was disappointing. The pillows in the room had a terrible odor, and even the least smelly one was uncomfortable and left me with a stiff neck for three days. Thankfully, there was a good massage place nearby. Upon check-out, they placed my belongings outside the door exactly at 12 without informing me, including my valuables and iPad. Luckily, nothing was stolen, but they could have at least given me a heads-up since they had my contact information. Therefore, I would not recommend this hotel.

The location is quite strategic, so close to the main street of Ubud, such as Goutama Street and any interesting spots in Ubud. It's highly recommended if you want to stroll around Ubud. The room is good and big enough, there is a TV, and the bathroom is spacious. The parking lot is quite small. Overall, the stay is good enough.

The hygiene of the room could be further improved.

The staff is so nice and approachable

Large room, nice furniture, good air con and a fridge. Nice small pool which was refreshing to come back to after a day in the heat. Good location, easy to walk to the main sights, market etc. Quiet. Few different guest houses on the same land. Breakfast simple but adequate and tasty, with fresh fruit. I've rated the property based on the price, we paid 470k for 2 nts inc breakfast. Great value and better than i expected.

Ground floor room we had was damp smelling. You got used to it when in room and 2 nts was manageable. Maybe upstairs rooms ok. Door didn't lock, we asked the lads and they did it but we couldn't. The bathroom locked so we put our stuff in there and locked it so was fine. Pillows were damp stained, yuk! They had covers on though. Like i say, for a short stay if out most of day it's fine and great value.
