Jig Gyas Guest House

Breakfast was served hot and delicious. The cook was amazing. The lady (cook) herself was decent and polite and treated all guests very nicely. Manager was also extremely cordial and helpful. Location of the guest house is excellent.

They lost a small bag of valuables (clearly stolen by somebody but not pointing any fingers) which we left in the room by accident when we checked out. Really bad experience unfortunately and a complete refusal to accept any responsibility on their part. We ended up getting compensated after going to the police station, and the owner seemed to be forcing the cleaners to pay out of their pockets which left a really bad taste since it was his fault for not having CCTV as he should have. Didn’t get a great vibe from him. Book somewhere else in Leh - so many nice places.

Nice Budget friendly place with very nice and supportive staff family.

We finally stayed in Lhachick Guest House (same owner of Jig Gyas Guest House) The family owner is really nice, they help us to organise all the excursions and give a really good price. The food in the guest house is very good. The room is big and clean. There is no heating in the room but they provided each night a warm water bag for the bed, and we all sleep really well. Comfortable beds. Close to the center and market.
