Palolem Cottages

Location was awesome

The room was spacious, the terrace with seats was nice, the air conditioning wasn’t very strong but with the fan as well we could keep the room cool. The staff were friendly and helpful and let us stay in an hour after check out when my wife wasn’t well. It was an affordable price. Good wifi.

Unfortunately when we arrived there were cockroaches in the bathroom and we had to ask for the bedding to be changed as it wasn’t clean when we arrived. They did do this however left us without a duvet cover for our time there which was a little odd. We also noticed animal droppings in our room but we couldn’t say what they were. We are used to the “Indian standard” of hotel clean from our previous 6 weeks of budget stays here and know what to expect, but cockroaches and animal droppings were a little too far. I think we may have been in an unlucky room behind a bar but it was very noisy every night until 2am with loud music. Also there was no water refill point which meant we had to use a lot of plastic bottles. It would be nice if this was available as it has been everywhere else we have stayed.

Location is great - The property is located just 1 min from the Palolem beach. It is well maintained and the staff are very nice and friendly. I am very very impressed with their efficiency and helpful attitude. Nikhil the property manager is very courteous and amazingly helpful. We had A.C related issues and I called him at 1:30am night time and within few minutes he reached out room to fix it himself. It was a delight to get such a service.

The bedsheets and quilt-covers can be little more clean.

The place was really good and near the beach. Clean rooms and bathrooms as well and the shops and restaurants are near the cottage which was cheery on top. You can get anything in just 10 steps. I have never experienced staffs like this cottage has Special thanks to @Nikhil Rajput for coordinating with us like a friend and was available to assist anytime😇

We liked that the beds were comfortable and the room quite spacious.

We didn't get our paid breakfast on day one and had to have rather a few conversations with the reception in order to get a refund. It all seemed a bit disorganized. The rooms are excessively warm inside if you book only a fan, and the showers weren't great. Some of the bed linen had stains on it but smelled fresh.
