Normally, I don't write reviews, but our stay with Gonbo and his wonderful team was so unforgettable I just had to share! From the moment we arrived, we felt incredibly welcome and completely taken care of. Whether it was helping us with permits, booking taxis, or just giving us great tips for hiking and souvenirs—they were always there to help. ​The rooms were not only super cozy and well-designed but also spotlessly clean, which we really appreciated. Breakfast was delicious, and the lunches and dinners were consistently fantastic, often made with fresh ingredients straight from their own garden. ​The location was absolutely perfect for us: close enough to town to get around easily, yet wonderfully quiet with a cooler, more comfortable climate. Plus, you can hike straight from the guesthouse up to Tsemo Castle for an amazing view of the entire city. ​Honestly, Gondo and his lovely team far exceeded our expectations. Très bon accueil et écoute. Chambre spacieuse et jardin agréable autour de la résidence. Un espace salon de jardin permet d en profiter et d etre au frais. Vous pouvez aussi partir en ballade pour vous acclimater vers le nord de leh.

Loved the host! I got altitude sickness the first day and the owner shuttled me to the hospital and helped throughout the process. Cannot be more grateful for their hospitality. Also the shower temperature/pressure were great.

We had a great stay at Rock Castle. The rooms are huge and very comfortable, breakfast is delicious, drinking water is available 24/7. Stairs to go up to Tsemo Castle are really close and Leh market is at only 10min walking distance. Most of all, the owner Tsewang was of great help to plan our trip in Ladakh!
