Rowinrich Cottages

The host was very polite, the room was spacious and as advertised. The view from the balcony was inviting and the kettle was a nice touch, as we relaxed with lots of tea as the sun was setting.

It is a very popular accommodation, sometimes tourists check in quite late (after midnight), or others play music well into the night. We had earplugs and managed to sleep in the end, but it can be quite disruptive.

The location of the property offered an excellent view of the hills from the room balcony. The staff were fabulous and very welcoming. They went out of their way to make our stay comfortable.

The property is located at the end of a rather steep hilly road. The last 300 metres of access to the property is via a narrow alley from the last point where a car can reach, followed by a few flights of steep stairs. The access is inconvenient and it is a challenge to get in and out of the property, especially with luggage. This was not known at the time of booking the property. Though the staff helped a lot with our luggage, the access was difficult.

It had the must beautiful view of the mountains, that we could also se from the bed. The staff was very nice and helpful, not all of them could speak English but they found one that could right away if we had any questions. The room was nice and had a good size. It is 10 minutes walk to the city centrum so you get a good mix between living close to the city and living in the mountains.

The water pressure was not fantastic, but I’m guessing that what to expect when you live on the mountainside.

The bathroom could've been slightly bigger with more hooks. There wasn't enough storage space in the room for 2-3 people.
