Rowinrich Cottages

High up in the mountains, it offered a great view. We could enjoy breakfast on the balcony. The internet connection was great.

Breakfast wasn’t that great. It was a little difficult to find. The road to the place was narrow and often steep, making it difficult to get there by car (but not unmanageable).

Great views. Rooms are comfortable. Laundry services good. Nice touches like kettle and tea.

Lots of steps and not so easy to get a taxi or tuk tuk to site. However walking fine.

Comfortable and calm place, with beautiful view on Ella rock. The owner was really helpfull and nice.

Nice spot quite close to town with a great view from the balcony. Nice and quiet at night time. We enjoyed our stay here.

It didn’t bother me personally but anyone with a walking disability may struggle with all of the steps.

I really loved the quality and character of the room I stayed in. I had a balcony with a view to Ella Rock which was lovely. The location although is a little tricky to get to and a steeper walk, is absolutely worth every step. It was so peaceful, the staff were all very helpful and pleasurable to deal with. I really wished I’d have had stayed there for the whole time I was in Ella! I was also easily able to rent a scooter for the day which was really helpful and organised within 15 minutes :)

The driveway to the property means that tuk tuks won’t go up it and it’s a steep uneven walk especially if you’re carting your belongings. It wasn’t a big problem for me being younger and fitter but can imagine it being a problem for some people who might be less fit or mobile if they are coming/going a bit.

The room was spacious. Check in was easy.

The bedding was clean but the room itself was not very clean. There was hair in the shower drain and cobwebs on the inside of the mosquito net.
