Breakfast was excellent. Good choice with items off the menu available.

Some items at breakfast could be served hotter, i.e sausages.

The most beautiful and peaceful room we have ever stayed in. We could have sat in the sunken windows all day and gazed out at the ocean. The food was excellent as you expect in Monks. A very chilled 2 nights.

I'm being picky but 1 or 2 of the waitresses in the restaurant could have been more attentive. The staff at breakfast on the other hand were so warm and welcoming as were the staff at the hotel reception.

Lovely sea view. Very nice bathroom. Comfortable bed. Nice breakfast. Good WiFi.

Evening meal, though the food was very good the dining room was extremely busy, which resulted in our main course being forgotten. This finally arrived after over an hour following prompting.

Monks Ballyvaughan är ett väldigt charmigt ställe att bo på. Servicen var god och vänlig. Rummet var fantastiskt med utsikt över havet. Ballyvaughan nås med buss 351 eller 350 på ett enkelt sätt.

Vi åt en skaldjurstallrik på kvällen. Den levde däremot inte riktigt upp till förväntningarna och kunde gjorts mycket bättre. 50 % av tallriken bestod av rökt lax, vilket kändes som ett sätt att "fylla ut" tallriken. Med små medel kan Monks nå absolut toppklass. Till frukost saknades ost, vilket inte är helt ovanligt i den här delen av världen.

Room was small and very noisy all night.

What was there not to like!! Everything was just amazing, the accommodation was perfect. The room was so cosy and clean with a sea view so it ticked all the right boxes. The staff were fantastic too especially Maria who really looked after us. The night porter was also extremely efficient and friendly too. We will most certainly be back. Would highly recommend 👌
