Grange Lodge

Comfortable room in a quiet residential street with several other hotels/guesthouses nearby. Easy walking distance to York city centre, attractions, Minster, museums and theatres. Comfortable room, with ensuite. They can provide luggage storage for a fee and limited time, although I did not need to use it.

Self check in felt very odd, all done by codes on keypads and keys in key boxes. Keybox with room key was open when I got there. No staff appeared present onsite, didn't see anyone while I stayed there though had had communication from them in response to questions.

Brilliant price for central York. The venue was immaculately clean, great communication from the hosts. Ubers were cheap to get to The Shambles and The opeara house. Bed was comfortable and the room was nice and bright in the morning . It was nice as you could also hear the church bells. Lots of local leaflets, which was also nice. The venue was also very easy to find.

Our room was on the top floor, a bit of a pain as I have bad legs but this was completely on me as I didn't make the hosts aware. There's nothing really to complain about.

Good location and close to city centre. Easy self check-in and parking.
