Fantastic location. Excellent value room - clean and comfortable. As a solo female traveller I felt exceptionally safe and secure here. Wonderful cafe on the ground floor - easy to meet people. Very calm rooftop area for relaxing away from crowds of Varanasi. Guest house can organise tours. Part of a social enterprise.
Note that there is no a/c. Ensure you can return to safely late a night - alleys are confusing and your GPS will not work.

Convenient location close to the ghats.
Very uncomfortable hard beds. Pillow was lumpy and hard. No linen. Very noisy inside the guesthouse. No hot water. Bathroom smelly. Could not leave the property to go on our early morning tour as we were locked in and no one responded to calls and alarms despite us advising them of this fact the night before.
