OHH - Porto Boutique Guest House

The location is very central and the room very spacious. The staff provided a lot of tips and was quick to reply to our questions.

The fan in the bathroom was extremely noisy and it was impossible to take a shower without "flooding" the floor of the bathroom. The towels provided were not sufficient for 2 persons, small and very used. We tried to request more towels but were informed that this would come with an extra fee.

The accommodation is clean & has all you need for a short stay. As property was close to a venue we needed to visit.

Il mio soggiorno in Porto Boutique Guest House è stato molto piacevole. La mia camera era pulita e molto confortevole, con climatizzatore, TV, macchinetta del caffè, bollitore dell'acqua e mini frigo. L'host si è mostrato da subito molto disponibile. Nonostante la zona non sia centrale, l'appartamento è vicinissimo alla fermata della bus, con cui si raggiunge il centro in 15 minuti circa. A 4 minuti dall'appartamento c'è anche un supermercato molto comodo.

I enjoyed the dinner that the host was drinking and shattered with me for the evening. He also went above and beyond to improve my stay and handle the concerns about the dirty bed linen, toilet, and kettle and overall hygiene of the place.He kindly moved me to a larger room that had broken fittings and fixtures but smelled better as used less and was larger.

The rooms were not thoroughly clean. TV outdated without the ability to get on WiFi and cast the mobile service to watch you tube. I found vomit in the kettle in my first room that I had the misfortune to also smell and found the place to be far from the main tourist spots in Porto, so buses and metro and taxi were needed with lots of time spent using these to get what You need done. It would have been better to use a 3 star hotel in town as anything saved is lost in public transport. In addition to this, please be aware that if you come after 8 a late check in fee applies. This was 20 pounds. Payment was difficult for foreign guests as not PayPal or Revolut provided. There was no invoice or documentation of this service so please be aware if you have to arrive late and pay it as well. I was informed of this having bought my train ticket and paid for the accomodation which was a last minute booking that was non refundable. I requested an invoice for the service to be booked properly. I stress I was contacted multiple times throughout my vacation until payment was received. I eventually used Pay Pal since the original bank transfer proved too complicated as screen shots were used to share the long numbers.
