Deodar Homestay

Amazingly beautiful and comfortable property. Special Kudos to their care taker cum cook Prakash and his team for making our short stay memorable and we did relish the food cooked by him. We were made feel at home away from home. I will certainly stay here again and recommend others too.

Deodar Homestay exceeded our expectations right from the get-go. The moment we entered the gates, the tall trees probably the Himalayan deodar (makes sense given the name of this homestay already implies) serenaded us with a gentle breeze. For us, this was a weekend getaway and it couldn't have been any better. What else? All we had to do was sip tea, relax with a good book, and have long conversations. Not to forget their two lovely golden retrievers and a cat that added so much to our delight! Talk about the homestay. The room; comfort; cleanliness; staff and overall hospitality - we had it all. While there is no restaurant on site, you can avail home cooked meals. Roads are good and the property has ample space for parking. To sum it all. If I have to revisit Almora, I would choose this property once again, and this time not for a 2 night stay, but for a good week long retreat and may be more. Who knows? :)

I would have loved to have more choices for breakfast.

Just everything was as perfect as one could have wished - the location, the estate, the gardens, the views, the staff, the hosts, the food, the personalised care, the attention to detail, local knowledge of the owners - superlative in every respect.

I really enjoyed my homestay experience. The property was fantastic! The location was ideal, with beautiful surroundings and convenient access to nearby attractions. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and made me feel right at home. The accommodations were comfortable, clean, and had everything I needed for a pleasant stay. Overall, I had a wonderful time and would highly recommend this property to others.
