Sabaydee House at Pai

This hotel is located right in the middle of the walking street in Pai. It's the best location from this point of view. And it's not noisy, you can't hear music or things like that.

Great location. Had parking for bikes. Daily bottles of water, coffee sachets and toilet paper.

Unclean, mould on the walls of the bathroom. Shower was a drizzle at most and right next to the toilet. Pipe from sink opened out onto floor to drain but just went all over bathroom floor. No windows in bathroom (explains all the mould). Extremely outdated room.

For anyone seeking an affordable and convenient place to stay in Pai, this hotel is a fantastic choice. Its location is unbeatable—right on Pai’s iconic walking street—yet remarkably quiet, making it ideal for relaxing after a day of exploration. The price is exceptional, especially given how central it is to all the activity. While the hotel has a no-alcohol policy that might not appeal to everyone, it fosters a serene, quiet environment, attracting guests who prefer a more peaceful stay—a feature I personally appreciated. The bed was comfortable, the shower had excellent water pressure, and the Wi-Fi performed flawlessly, even handling multiple Zoom meetings without any problems. Although the furniture and decor are a bit dated, this is a minor point considering the unbeatable price and prime location. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for travelers who value convenience, affordability, and tranquility. It may not suit every preference, but for the combination of location, value, and peaceful ambiance, it’s truly a great find!

The furniture and TV was dated. They used repurposed cleaning containers as trash cans (but for the price and the location it was well worth it)

The place is perfectly located at the town center, walking distance from the van terminal, but quiet, clean, cool, and comfortable. The hosts were kind and very hospitable; they even offered their own umbrella when it was raining outside and asked me every morning to clean the room.

There are guests who were too loud at times. Slippers should be provided.

The guesthouse is run by a Muslim family, which isn't a negative thing, but throughout the guesthouse there were signs that alcohol inside the premises was prohibited with a possible fine of 2,000 baht. This, imho, should have been mentioned on the site of booking.com. The mattresses in my sons bedroom were as hard as bricks and quite uncomfortable to sleep on. The single power outlet in my room was 1.50 meters above the ground so I had to stack 2 stools on top of each other to be able to charge my phone and other gadgets. The shower in the bathroom didn’t have a proper wall attachment, which made taking a shower quite annoying. All in all not a guesthouse I enjoyed or will book again.

Location was good. AC broke first night. Bed rock hard. Did have hot water which was nice.
