We had the most wonderful stay at Krasna Gourmet Boutique Hotel – a true hidden gem that exceeded all expectations. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the owners and their family, who made us feel more like guests in their home than travelers passing through. Their hospitality was genuine, thoughtful, and heartfelt – the kind that leaves a lasting impression. The rooms were beautifully appointed – spacious, stylish, and incredibly comfortable, with every detail carefully considered to ensure a relaxing stay. From the high-quality linens to the modern amenities and charming touches, it was clear that comfort and quality are a top priority here. Each morning started with an amazing breakfast, included with our stay – a delightful spread of local and homemade items, perfectly presented and delicious. But the real highlight was the phenomenal 5-course dinner we enjoyed one evening. Every dish was artfully prepared, showcasing local ingredients and culinary expertise that rival top restaurants. Each course was better than the last – creative, flavorful, and perfectly paced. It was an unforgettable dining experience. Krasna is more than a hotel – it’s a place where warmth, care, and gourmet excellence come together in a beautiful setting. We left feeling refreshed, well-fed, and truly cared for. We would return in a heartbeat and recommend it wholeheartedly to anyone visiting the region.

What a beautiful property inside and out! The flowers and landscaping are gorgeous. The outdoor dining courtyard is just so stylish and relaxing.

It was really a great stay. We would have liked to have tea or coffee making facilities in or near room.

I booked into this more expensive, hotel as part of a cross country bike tour because of the restaurant, which gets amazing reviews. I understand why after eating the breakfast. But when we arrived, we told the restaurant was closed. This is obviously a family business so I understand that it cannot be open every day, but I would’ve appreciated being told in advance that the restaurant would not be open the day we were there. We probably would not have gone out of our way to stay at this place had we known the restaurant would not be available.

After one of my more memorable dinners in July 2023, we recently returned to Dajana and Boris Škibin in April '25. Boris makes all his dishes from local ingredients and the standard of his cuisine is deserving of 1 Michelin star, not a shadow of doubt. The wine list is mainly sourced from Slovenian wineries, the unsung heroes of European wine production. We were advised to try the Sirk RDEČe 2, a 80/20 Merlot/Cabernet Franc blend - outstanding. The Chardonnay Sauvignon blanc De Baguer was also a revelation. I personally prefer having dinner outside in the courtyard during the warmer seasons but the ambience indoors this time was also pleasant, the staff extremely attentive.

Nothing to complain about. The gourmet restaurant and hotel is in a small rural village and that is the vibe of the hotel.
