Very nice guest house in a traditional house, with nice owners, warm atmosphere, and the possibility to have breakfast and dinner.

I had a fantastic stay at Takazuri Kita Guest House last weekend! The owner was incredibly helpful and welcoming, making me feel at home from the moment I arrived. His wife was also extremely kind, hardworking, and attentive to all guests, making sure everyone had a comfortable stay. Their child is absolutely adorable, adding even more warmth to the friendly atmosphere. The guest house offers a cozy mixed dormitory perfect for travelers who want to meet others while experiencing a genuine Japanese ryokan vibe. The ambiance was calm and relaxing, ideal after a day exploring Shirakawa-go. Highly recommended if you’re looking for authentic hospitality and a memorable stay! I would definitely come back again.

Don’t forget to take toothbrush and make sure if you need anything from convenience store, there is no supermarket and kunbini near the hotel ,,

it was clean, well maintain the cleanliness, it feels like home, the couple is very accommodating and their lovely children is so adorable and bubbly, kita san is very helpful when it comes to finding a good resturant to eat and also navigation to where u are going.

It was truly a stunning location that left me with an indescribable feeling. The walk there was breathtaking, and everything was so clean and beautiful. The hosts were incredibly sweet and welcoming! As a first-time solo traveler who was quite anxious, I was amazed at how the environment instantly put me at ease. They were also so helpful in planning my time/transportation in Nanto, making my experience even more enjoyable and stress free. I felt so comfortable and cozy that I don’t even remember falling asleep after my long day of exploring :) The food was also absolutely delicious, and I was genuinely sad to leave.

Everything! If only I can rate it more than 5 star I will. The kind and warm welcome of the family host, comfortable bed, clean, cozy and homey stay & the food prepared was delicious and healthy (vegetables were organically grown by the owners from their garden). The area is surrounded with natural landscape too from rivers to mountains and it’s even more beautiful during the winter to walk around and enjoy the view.

It was lovely up in the hills and easy to find. Get the bus from Shirakawago and enjoy the scenery! The host offered us tea on arrival and showed us around the place. Dinner was offered with vegetarians catered for at 1600 yen each and breakfast for 800 yen each. You make your own bed in the bunks, we went in January and had the whole room to ourselves was super cute and a great place to unwind and slow down during what can be a hectic travel itenrary
