Casa de Oren

Nigel and Mabel were fantastic hosts. Their place is beautiful, clean and very welcoming. The hot tub was great, as well as the meals!

We loved everything about Casa de Oren. Our hosts Nacho and Mabel were warm and made us felt like family. The location is a bit away from the town but the drive is totally worth it because you are surrounded by gorgeous nature. Mabel gave us a ride to and from town. The garden and the views of the Inca ruins are out of this world beautiful. At night you can see the stars while enjoying the hot tub, after a day of hiking there is nothing better than soaking in the hot tub (the water was at a perfect temperature) The bedroom has a balcony facing the garden the the ruins. The breakfast was abundant, delicious and healthy with locally sourced ingredients. I would highly recommend anyone who visit Cusco and the the Sacred valley to come to spend a few nights at Casa de Oren to experience this truly special and spiritual place.

Location location location!!! Excellent view of the mountains and ruins. Brand new building with amazing architecture and landscaping. Great breakfast choices including unique fruits from the garden.

Casa de Oren is a clean, comfortable B & B with gracious hosts in a perfect location directly across the valley from the Pisac Archaeological Park. Featuring panoramic views of the ancient Incan terraces from every room, the unobstructed views of the ruins and the surrounding mountains are prominent from all over the property. Unlike other accommodations outside Pisac which are generally dotted along the main road, Casa de Oren is perched atop a small hill, a short distance off the main road, nestled between surrounding mountain peaks and the Pisac Archaeological Park. Days and nights are quiet without cars whizzing by outside the hotel gates. Mabel and Nigel and incredibly gracious hosts who offer complimentary lifts into Pisac town and to the upper entrance to the archaeological site each morning. Their generosity in driving us to the upper entrance of the Pisac ruins was an extraordinary bonus which allowed us to have an easeful walk, mainly downhill, while seeing the entire archaeological site (3x bigger than Machu Picchu) at a leisurely pace. For trips to locations farther afield, Mabel and Nigel will arrange private taxis for you. You will pay same price as arranging yourself but with the guarantee of a good driver and a clean and safe car. When returning in the evenings from your adventures, you can easily get a taxi or Tuk Tuk from town back to Casa de Oren. If you want to save a few soles have them drop you at La Posta and take a 5 minute stroll through the neighboring farm fields up the hill. Accommodation at Casa de Oren includes a delicious, complementary, 3 course breakfast and all day fruit, tea and coffee. I highly recommend having dinner at Casa de Oren at least once. The food is delicious and has extremely generous portions. My favorite was the beef stew, with the personal barbecue a close second. To add a few more accolades: the garden is amazing and a great place to relax. The beds are extremely comfortable.

Casa de Oren is a beautiful oasis. It was the perfect place to rest and relax after spending a few days trekking and touring the sacred valley. Mabel and Nigel are so kind. Their place is a little bit out of the way, so Mabel picked us up from Pisac town when we arrived. She also drove us to the Pisac ruins on the day we were leaving, and met us in town later with our bags. We did the walk through the ruins to the Pisac town, which was lovely. Our room was spacious and very nice. Meals were also great. They have a wood burning hot tub, which was really nice to sit in under the stars. They have their own water and septic system, which means you can flush toilet paper and also run your toothbrush under the tap - a nice perk! They provide complementary drinking water and have some essentials that you can buy if you forgot anything. They have everything you need there, so no need to worry about not being in town. I highly recommend staying here to anyone who is visiting the Sacred Valley. It is a wonderful spot, owned by wonderful people.

We came here based on a recommendation and weren't disappointed. Located just outside of the main town of Pisac, this beautiful place has everything you need for a relaxing stay. Mabel and Nigel are wonderful hosts and the food provided is absolutely superb.

Minor point in the whole stay but a couch downstairs in the main living area would have been welcomed.

This is an outstanding place! The extremely helpfull hosts, the astonishing views, the picturesque style, the environment friendly concept, the food and the drinks, there are so many things to recommend. It is not easy to get there, but it is more than worth the discovery. Stay at least two nights, you would not regret!
