Tinhay Mill

Overnite stop on way home from Cornwall. Easy to find, very welcoming and comfortable. Very good breakfast after a really good night's sleep.

Lovely welcome by the charming host. We enjoyed our stay at Tinhay Mill. The spacious accommodation was quiet, and the bed comfortable. We enjoyed the generous breakfast provided.

The only negative comment, which is something that can’t be easily rectified, was that the water pressure in the shower was a little low.

Good location for overnight stay on our way to Cornwall. Warm welcome, comfortable room and exceptionally good breakfast.

The access to our bedroom was up a short but steep, narrow staircase which less agile people might find difficult.

The welcome and friendliness of our host Suzanne was delightful and the four of us had a really good stay in the middle of a wonderful week's walking holiday. Lovely breakfast, facilities and, best of all, the warm, Devon welcome!

Tinhay Mill was in the perfect location for the end of Stage 4 of our Tamara Way Hike. We arrived a little wet, disheveled and somewhat later than anticipated, after a slightly difficult stage (mainly due to the weather). However, Suzanne took everything in her stride, despite the appearance of 2 muddy, wet strangers at her door!! She couldn't do enough for us and soon made us feel very welcome & comfortable, even switching the heating on for a few hours to warm us up and help dry our clothing & equipment. Suzanne was extremely accommodating in arranging for an earlier breakfast to allow us to set off early the following morning, nothing appeared to be too much trouble. The breakfast was freshly cooked and tasted wonderful, with all sorts of other options available in addition to the cooked breakfast. Suzanne was very friendly and sociable and it was lovely chatting with her. We would fully recommend staying here, you won't be disappointed.

Bed could really do with a mattress topper and the bath towels could be a lot bigger!
