Guesthouse Tamura

The owners are an old married couple. The older man was very warm and kind. The bed was comfortable and the offered Japanese breakfast from the older lady a must-try!

The older lady appeared a little impatient and not as friendly as her husband. I left my luggage at the guesthouse before the check-in time, and she was very brief with me.

The guesthouse was homey and comfortable. There is a communal table to eat dinner, breakfast etc rather than any lounging areas. I opted in for Junko's delicious breakfast and it was excellent. The house was located very near the Nara Hotel and Naramachi. It was atmospheric and away from the crowds.

The location of the facility is great, watching the deers from the balcony in the evenings was an unforgettable experience for me. The landlady is very polite and helpful. I can say that I enjoyed staying in this house the most during my Japan trip. As a Mediterranean person in Japan, the things I had the most difficulty with were the difficulties in communicating and the feeling of loneliness. But this house offers a friendly atmosphere Additionally, the people of Nara are very friendly and warm-hearted. For me, Nara was very enjoyable in every aspect.

It's beautiful in every aspect, I can't say anything negative

Charming little guesthouse right near the Deer Park. Run by friendly elderly couple in 100 year old+ house. On arriving there were three deer standing outside house looking at me about 10 metres away. I didnt have much time so the husband dropped me off at the start of the track I wanted to do. And the later to train station. Very sweet!!!

Cool traditional Japanese style accommodation, nothing fancy but has all the necessary facilities

My room was spacious and beautiful, with comfortable seating, clothes hangers and hooks, and lots of natural daylight. The bathrooms were clean, the location is central, and I enjoyed my stay. I also liked that all of the sliding doors moved silently! When I stay in guesthouses I often feel self-conscious moving around at night or getting up early, because sliding doors make such a racket when you open and close them, and I know I must be disturbing other guests; but here, they were all very quiet and smooth.

Because it's an old building and my room was right in the middle of the property, I could hear everything going on in the building loud and clear. But the noise curfew was 10pm, and everyone became completely silent after that!
