"Great place for a simple getaway"

Jamie was extremely helpful and flexible, the location was central and convenient and having use of the fridge and microwave.

The pub across the road was a little noisy on Friday night.

James was very helpful. We had a nice room looking out on the street.

The bed area was a bit tight. The pub opposite was very noisy until quite late on Saturday night.

Jamie is a very pleasant host, who is clearly proud of his property. The room was very comfortable, squeaky clean and despite staying over a weekend, it was a quite location. One is spoilt for choice with regard to pubs and restaurants in this lovely town. All minutes walk away! Not sure what the parking situation is as I arrived by public transport. Very regular bus just a street away. There wasn't any breakfast, but there is a convenience store just across the street that is open long hours. I would have no hesitation returning at some point in the future.

"Nothing was too much trouble!"

We had a wedding to attend in the early afternoon. Jamie very kindly allowed us to check in early to pick up the keys. The room was spacious, well equipped and very comfortable. We returned late in the evening after the wedding and spent a very pleasant night there before departing next morning. Later that day, Jamie phoned to tell me I'd left my electric toothbrush behind and offered to put it in the post. That's what I call going the extra mile! So highly recommended.

The owner was very friendly and helpful as this was our last stop on a 16-day road trip he offered to take us to the pub. Also, the themed items added a nice charm. The bed and sofa were both very comfy, and the room was spacious. Also, the recommended breakfast cafe 5 minutes walk away was tasty and good value. The public car park nearby was also cheap and free after 6pm. Would stay here again as perfect staging point for the channel crossing and also the Romney Hythe railway.

Lovely, bright, very well decorated twin room. Ideal for my sister and I. Located right in the centre of this quiet town. Multiple breakfast venues a few minutes away. Some with a 10% discount organised by our host. Jamie was really flexible and accommodating. He let us arrive early and kept our bags into the evening we left. Would stay again.
